Hi Lakshay, Please check the below links for the specs of P180 & P220.
2011 Bajaj Pulsar 220 F specifications and pictures
Bajaj Pulsar 180 Price in India - Bajaj Pulsar 180cc DTSi Bike
The stroke of the 2 engines are different. 62.4 & 56.4mm.
Either you should go for P220 crankshaft or go for P200 cylinder kit.
With the 180 crank and 220 cylinder there might not be enough compression to ignite the fuel.
Kindly reconsider.

And should you not be having the split type handle bar in your UG3, like in a 220?

Firstly I would like to thank you for helping me out.
1) How much the crankshaft costs?
2)I'm not having any difficulties with these handles too. I can easily steer left and right.

I normally follow this: correct me if I am wrong.

Engine oil drain interval for new bike.

1. 350 km - mineral oil like moto 4 gold 20w50 very good in mineral category
2. 750 km - again use same oil as above.
3. 1450 km - again use the same oil
4. 2500 km - now use what ever u want to use man.
after this if using synthetic oil 4000 km if using again mineral every 2500 km.

Guys need serious advice. Ok

First of all, P220 and P200 DTSI shares the same cylinder. If you put a P220 cylinder in P180 it becomes P200, and yes with proper jets (P220's jets or RTR 180's 125 jet) it will work with stock reliability. P200 DTSI was a production bike that was discontinued by Bajaj few years ago for marketing reasons.

Not at all dude. Please check this link. Bajaj Pulsar 200 DTSi Technical Specifications Or hit a search for P200 specs in this forum. P150, 180, & 200 have a stroke of 56.4mm while P220's stroke is 62.4mm which is 6mm more than other Pulsars. So an upgrade of a P150 to 180 or 200 is possible with the same crankshaft while to plonk a 220 Cylinder you needs a P220's crank. Hope you are clear now.

Sorry dude, I have no clue about the price. Good if you can handle the bike without difficulties.

So the only thing needed is crankshaft?

Yes, Exactly. Ensure that the self starter works properly because, it is somewhere mentioned in this forum that you would find difficult to kick start with longer stroke and bigger volume. Hope you will use BS32 carburetor only. After putting everything together if you feel there is marginal lack of performance at high end, CDI will need to be changed. Wiring a 220 CDI wouldn't be an issue because there are P220 workshop manuals floating around in the net. I can extend support through this forum, if you would need help with wiring the new CDI. All the best.

That's around 8k.

I think I'll have go back to p180 kit.

You may settle with a P200 kit without changing the crank.

Use motul 3100 15W50 at 500km.
change it to motul 5100 15W50 at 2000km. Replace it every 3k kms.

Well, P220 and 200 has the same cylinder. If you plonk it in P220, it becomes 220 cc due to the longer stroke, if you put the same in P150/180 it becomes 200 cc. Hope I made it clear.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, he is running a P220 timing chain in UG3 P180. P220 timing chain is longer than P200/180 I think.

I don't think converting P180 to P200 to P220 is any reliable.

What about the piston? I don't think same con-rod will work, con rod might be different for both P200 and P220. Do you guys know for sure that crankshaft from P220 will work with P180 engine?

Everyone is forgetting the oil cooler. Lakshay Singh: Get drilling man.

If it works, hats off to Bajaj for making so many reusable parts.

Good thing P180 isn't liquid cooled or the double hectic wasn't worth it.

I think selling your current P180 and buying P220 with troubled engine at cheap and rebuilding that engine would have been better choice.

Anyway does anyone knows what's the cost of P180 half engine?

I guess I would be going for duke 390 in june. And for this period I think reverting back to p180 cylinder kit would be a better choice.

By the way, I rode a Hayabusa 1300 today.
It is a beast.
It was so awesome to ride that.

The oil (is) cooled was a marketing gimmick, just like the three spark plugs of 200NS. con rod, piston, rings, wrists etc. are same I personaly cross checked yesterday when I went tae a loo at some chain sprockets.

Guys are forgetting that he is converting to P200 which shares a lot of parts with P180, it is essentially a P180 with a bigger bore and larger jets, IIRC it had slightly larger front disk.
Why would anyone want a P220 with troublesome engine? Used ones in running condition could be had for like 30k
