So how is the ride. To sum up at 11k then:-

At 11k bike is feeling quite free to rev and picks up rev quite fast. As with my experience of my Joy,pleasure and splendor, Hero bikes gets quite free after 10k and this is also true for extreme, the tachometer just shoots up with slight twist of wrist.

As usual the pull from 6k to 10k rpm has grown more intense and after 11k the sound has also changed, previously the deep sound after 6k was not audible but now it is quite audible. Also since my 99% of running consists of state highways and national highways, bike is always north of 6k rpm and sometimes 8k to 9k rpm.

Mileage is consistently around 55 +/- 5 and with careful throttle it is around 60 kpl.

It runs smooth with some vibrations between 4.5-5.5 k rpm rest all is good. The pads are half worn as i use the brake very less as i control speed with throttle. The rear brake has been adjusted only once and is perfect. I hardly touch the rear brake.

Top speed achieved with stock sprocket is 117 kph at 9k rpm and with unicorn sprocket was 119 kph at 8.8k rpm. Bike was slowly pulling beyond 9k rpm but i had to brake. When my bike was new that is at less than 5k on odo bike was not pulling beyond 105 kph but with some high speed runs and also as the engine freed up the top speed went up significantly.

Maintenance- Hardly i have spent anything on maintenance. Only oil change and chain cleaning and lubing is all that has been done at 1200 km intervals. But after 11k bike is asking some work.

Apart from these no other work is needed.
In xtreme/hunk overtaking is a breeze above 6K Rpm.
It is rock stable at highway speeds due to it weight but at the same time it does not feel heavy and difficult to ride in city traffic.
Riding position is relaxed and suitable for long distance travelling unlike other 150cc having "sporty" riding position.
The seat is wide and adequately soft, seat cover grips the rider and the pillion very well unlike other cheap aftermarket seat cover which offers no grip.
Suspension has been tuned to give best of both worlds - Ride quality and stability.
Brakes are confidence inspiring ,rear disc brakes do the job but don't expect it to provide the entire braking of the bike needed.
Mine vibrates from only 4.5 to 5K Rpm but I like these vibrations. It is only felt at the handle bar.

P.S- I haven't taken my new Xtreme above 5.5K as it is still in run-in period. Cbz(classic) and CBZ xtreme(pre 2011) is nothing new to me,I have ridden them extensively especially on the highways. So the experience regarding the performance is based on the old gen CBZ which I am sure is the same for the new xtreme.

    P.S -2
I ride very sanely with gradual acceleration in every gear and then maintain a constant speed. Even my splendor touches 60Kmph with the slightest touch of throttle in fourth gear. Right from the beginning I was a sane rider but after taking Sibun's tips,I have improved my riding skills.
This one of the reason I get a very good mileage ,engine life, clutch, chain, tyre and brake life plus safety too.
Sibun also rides very gently and one good example is that his Joy's chain set has done over 95,000 kms and still running strong. We have a lot to learn from him !

Apart from other parts, a drive chain's life gets reduced tremendously when the bike is accelerated suddenly.

Oh, yes. I've been following this thread even before I got my bike. Sibun's riding tips helped me too, I am glad I started practicing throttle control on my Wego before I got my bike, again thanks to him.
Btw, in yesterday's speed run, bike touched 116. And checked highway FE again, 50kmpl.

Yes, the bike pulls like crazy right after 5.5k rpm for me. Though I won't agree with the seat part. Seat is hard as a rock, my butt starts crying after 40 kms of ride. Pillion seat is not that good/comfortable either. It is too high, my mom once rode, and she says she will never get on the bike again LOL. That being said, seat mod is certainly on cards. Might go for something like this, let's see.

This modification was done on the stock front seat of my KTM 200 Duke motorcycle. The exercise was done in a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. After the modific...

Strange. Mine is very soft,I did not even get extra foam placed under the seat cover as most of the guys do it .

Yes,the pillion seat is a little bit higher but once seated it is comfortable.

Why are your posts appearing in white font, sir? Not able to read properly. And I weigh 78 kgs. Why that ques? For the top speed part or the seat not comfy?
All the bikes in the showroom had same seat. Maybe you got more flesh down there..wait is this why that ques? :P

I agree with kolte666 , seat is good for city drives , pain in highways , but some foam might help in this regard. Also i am writing my driving technique. I keep throttle constant most of the time and let bike automatically gain speed. I dont make bike achieve a speed , use throttle slightly and gain a cruising speed. Clean filter, chain, plug whenever i change oil. The main zone of xtreme is above 65 i.e 5.5rpm , this is from where it goes like a bullet ahead . I came from a 100km drive today and it just hits 95 so easily after 60. Superb stability and handling . I regretted my purchase due to heavy vibrations and leakage . But now i am so happy due to this sheer performance . Sibun ji please share your tips and techniques with us , we newbies need your help

I don't know whats happening,I am unable to edit that post also.

No,I weigh 75kgs and don't have any problem with the seat.
Dirty mind, Heavy weight will result in the foam getting compressed and touching the plastic mould.

                  Hi,
I am new to this forum. I got my Hunk on 16th April without owner manual(dealer said that it will take some time before the 5year warranty ones come from manufacture). Does anyone has it scanned? If so, please send m a copy.
                  Thank you.

Then I think you were forced to get the free services done from the dealer itself,no ? (As you did not have the service coupons).

I wonder what they do with those manuals.

That must be their modus operandi, get the customer to come only to their SVC.

One asking for manual, if the showroom is near your house, go pester them often/everyday. Gets things done faster. That's how I got my tool kit.

Did you guys get shock absorber adjustment tool ? Mine kit was sealed but did not have that tool . I asked dealer but he said due to split of honda some tool kits were improperly assembled. Pathetic reason.
