That happens to me when my choke is ON. Sometimes I forget to turn it OFF and this happens i.e. the RPM increasing when I disengage the clutch.

I am going for a new set of tires later this month. I guess if its anything wrong with the tires it should be solved by then, and at that time I will get the balancing done too. Lets see how that turns out. By the way, if I need to adjust my shock absorbers for a rough road, in what position should they be? Currently they both are in the first position(the smallest notch).
I think 40 PSI is too much, the recommended tyre pressure is 35 right ? I think its over inflated .

As far as I know , specs have not changed , so sadly no increase in power or the much wanted 6th gear or even engine kill switch (i guess).

I sure wish I can get to the problem, whatever it is and the service centre guys are not much help. I will try to go to a MRF showroom and see if they do the balancing for a two wheeler. I have never heard of it being done for a bike before though. My tyres do have those balancing thingies in them. I will try and update

Yes buddy, it is still wobbling now, yesterday I stopped my bike three times on my way home to check if either of the tires was punctured. They seem ok, and have good pressure. I have no clue to what is wrong with her.
This is my first post in this thread.I too own a xtreme, its 2 years old.
And regarding the above mentioned problem,I think 40 psi in rear tyre is way over than the correct pressure.I fill upto 34 psi.try reducing the pressure.and the wobbling may be caused by a faulty swingarm bush.its just a suggestion.just check it.because once I had the same feeling and the first thing that the service engineer said he would look into is this.

            My rear wheel also wobbles

Gave to service like 3 times, they say there is nothing wrong.. even checked the alignment

Last time, I gave to a local mech, he said its the make of the tyre, its not exactly in proportion! advised me to change the tyre

Because of this wobbling problem, whenever I go over 80kmph, the back footrest vibrates like hell

What do you guys think? Where is the problem. Is it the alignment, rear alloy wheel or the rear tyre?

Well, same here.and I don't feel the wobbling everytime.but sometimes it just appears and its gone just like that..now I am not even sure if it's just my feeling.don't know whats the cause.?

                Me too had this problem,
                it appears after 60kmph
It increases if we have a pillion.

I visited a tyre repair shop and he said its the problem of this specific tyre, it grinds of in such a way.

on a regular service, My svc guy told me that it was the problem with the loose handle, and he fixed it some how on a service.

Ya exactly same issue is with me , done 8K kms so far without a glitch , but due to bad and disastrous roads i travel i think somehow handling is sufferred. front end feels light with a pillion and rear footpeg vibrates rear bad . Checked alignment , chain , air pressure , handle racer all seem fine so where is the problem exactly , told to head mech svc , he didnt bother to do anything as this issue seemed minor to him. UPDATE:
Bike was examined by an engineer[supposedly from regional office]. This time, the cam shaft holder was replaced under warranty. Tappets properly adjusted, all the o rings inside the engine changed. Bike is flying again. Almost after a month, the feel of riding teh XTREME is back. Took it to the highway and tested the 55-90 wala pickup. OMG, she's back. YEAHHHHH!

Hope it stays like this, and doesnt start leaking again. Thank you Shoeb saar for all the help.

No need to thank me as I just passed on the contact details, nothing else.
Your bike is flying again because tappets are set correctly now. With tighter tappets, the engine will struggle to cross 5K RPM.

So first i did was to clean the slow jet. I didn't open the carb. Even i didn't remove the carb from the rubber ducts. Just loosened the rubber ducts carb and tilted the carb to side. Then opened the float chamber and opened the jets. Cleaned them thoroughly and refitted back. Started the engine and idle, starting and pick-up problem vanished.

                        .
Hello sibun, my bike RPM needle also not stable and i also want to clean slow jet without opening the carb. Can you please post in detail about its process.

Hi, Please suggest a lube for chain.
I cleaned chain using kerosine and what should I use for lubing it?

Now I am on castrol active 20W40
As I said in my previous post, I am having cold start problem, I think its because of 20W40 oil

                          because
                          It appeared after oil change.
yesterday, I increased the idle and it started in a single click, but the rmp raised 2500 after a 20km ride,
ie when engine is hot the less the friction or something.

Is there any semi synth 10w40 I can try?

90W gear oil is recommended. Even a diesel engine oil will work fine.
Apply a very thin layer of cheap grease on the inner "sides" of lower chain cover so that it traps any debris that finds its way into the chain cover. Lower side has drain holes that needs to be open so - don't apply any grease there.

10W30 is the best grade for xtreme/hunk. Try veedol take-off premium 10W30, it is the best 10W30 oil I have ever used.
Even in harsh conditions, it lasts for a good 1800+ kms. If your engine feels harsh on 10W30 then there is some problem that needs to be rectified.

Even the owner's manual mentions this "Do not attempt to compensate for faults in other systems by adjusting idle speed"

I think I will get the shock absorbers and swing arm bushes checked in my next service. Maybe they can detect something wrong with that I can't. And I had read that the correct tire pressure was 40 psi for the rear tire(For double seat)

Mine is a tubed version Hunk and 32 psi is ideal tire pressure for rear tire (rider and pillion).
Even for tubeless tires 40 psi should be too high.
Why don't you check your owner's manual or the label on the left swing arm to confirm ?
