Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Are you sure the activa handle bar touches ur knees? Coz I'm taller and it doesn't touch mine, unless there's a fat pillion behind me and I have to sit further :-D in that case u have to get a scooter with a nice big seat, the aviator has a narrow and long seat and the maestro has a wide and long seat and very comfy, test ride both with and without a pillion and see, go with what u feel is best.Originally posted by jammbuster View Post

Yes sir, it touch.
Now there is confussion between meastro vs aviator. Meastro does not have tubeless tyre. While aviator is now cones with tubeless. By the way aviator tyre size is larger than maestro???

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
It's the lock for the rear brake when you park it in an inclined position so it doesn't go back.Originally posted by Sharrrrrrad View PostDoes anyone have any idea how the small lever near left brake of activa supposed to work.

Depress the clutch/brake lever along with the lock & lock it with a click sound. Rear brake is locked.
To unlock it press the lever harder(not to hard) it will unlock itself. Hope it helps.Failure should never go to heart & success should never go to head, both makes a person to fall in life-Winston Churchill

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
squeeze the rear brake lever, pull in the 'chrome' lever with your index finger and it will seat in to a notch/groove on the leverOriginally posted by Sharrrrrrad View PostDoes anyone have any idea how the small lever near left brake of activa supposed to work.
now the rear brake is engaged (i.e. rear wheel locked) - this is useful when you park on a slight slop or sometime at traffic signals/traffic jams on a slopy road (like here in hyderabad)
to release the lock, just squeeze the brake lever again and it will release the lock.

I've been riding my activa for more than a year, and didn't know about this till now. Gonna try it out sometimeOriginally posted by s1d View Postsqueeze the rear brake lever, pull in the 'chrome' lever with your index finger and it will seat in to a notch/groove on the lever

Btw, what is the tire pressure that you guys have for activa? I ride with 25 on front and 35 on rear (usually without pillion), but the other day when I was at the ASC, I saw a board mentioning that the correct air pressure was 29 for front and 39 for rear.2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

this 'feature' has been on the good ol' kinetic honda's since ages

The ideal tire pressure i find comfortable is around 28 in the front and 36 at the rear.. 39 may cause some stiffness/hardness at the rear. the older models should be fine with 28/36, not sure about the newer ones with tubeless tires.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
They just recently upgraded the dio and aviator to 110cc I think its too soon for them to launch 125, then they'll have to redo their entire scooter range again.Originally posted by jammbuster View Post

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
i had a kine(until 6 months ago) and still have the dio, i find both equally 'good' on the brake locks.. maybe your activa needs some brake adjusting and cleaning of the drums/shoes to gain the bite back.Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostLol I have both kine and activa and it works better on the kine, it doesn't work properly on most activas I've seen including mine.
