The older model dio (i own one) has the 'clic' [Convenient Lift up Independent Cover] mechanism and this is also a complete Fiber body!

So I am asking again, do you open the side body panels like a kinetic honda or lift up the entire seat+rear body like a car bonnet ?

being a honda scoot i think it definitely has the clic mechanism.
    No it's like kinetic Honda
    Also Aviator dont have CLIC

      Fuel Leak on Ignition

Hi, I just bought an Activa two weeks back. Yesterday when i tried using the self start, a huge amount of petrol suddenly leaked from the scooter.
The fuel leaks just when trying self start otherwise its fine. Also the scooter fails to start even with the kick-starter.

Can anyone please help me out ?

No, that doesn't seems to be the case since tank was only half full and now it's nearly empty due to the leakage.

I would have taken it to service center already but the scooter even fails to start.

The fuel lines may be leak or accidentally pulled out, from their place
            Check for fuel lines

Thanks man, it was a loose fuel line. I had to call the service center guys and they fixed it on the spot.

                      1. Try using another spark plug [new or swapped from another scooter for testing] and make sure the plug cap is proper/fitted snugly.
                      2. The carburetor might require a cleaning and retuning.. i.e removing the carb and cleaning its parts (jets, carb internals like the float/bowl etc)
                      3. Also get the valve clearances checked along with the carb overhaul.

If you do not know any local mech, get these done at a honda asc in your presence [just to be sure they do it, cos mostly they avoid doing a carb overhaul ]

I think Activa(without the front storage box) gives the most leg space out of the three, but I'm not sure if there would be enough space for a gas cylinder. The best scooter according to me for household work is a kinetic, I use it for the same purpose

LOL ............... actually Kinetic is the retiring workhorse of my friend's household ................ now bhabi ji has asked for a new gen workhorse and the dilemma is you cannot find a gas cylinder at the showroom to work out the practicality (which is the need of the moment for him )

Lol, but yea there isn't a new gen scoot which offers that much leg space, either he can stick with the kinetic or somehow adjust with an Activa.

I was more inclined to Aviator over Activa in my suggestion to him, primarily due to its telescopic front shockers ................. but the alarming need of carrying a cylinder for his household made me a little humble .............. and therefore I dropped in here to know from the owners
