Once when I tuned it incorrectly and faced kind of similar problem like rpm not going beyond some point..

I am with the Stock Tunning.Only I remember that SVC said to me I have adjusted the tunning for better mileage.
My next 7 paid service will be coming next week, will check it n tell them about this problem.

I would advice you to change the Handle and also Ask SVC to check the fork alignment is it proper or not, if not do check properly before receiving your bike.

Does any one Know whats will be cost of new forks????

If so, it's a welcome move. But, they should have called back the bikes with issue to try this new cable.

Has anyone tried the R15's stock rear tyre on the FZ?

Not used personally, but i have seen a couple of fz's in svc with the mentioned tyre.
It can be fit, but can't comment on the stability of bike with the same.
I think it would not be a good idea as r15's tyre is more sharper whereas fz's is flatter. It would affect the bike's handling characteristics.

Svc guys take 450-500₹ for this and then send your fork to local shops which do it for 150-200 ₹ .I've seen it in bajaj, tvs, bullet, Yamaha showrooms and svc near welcome metro station, karkardooma court.

The wear on my stock tyre has been only on the centre. The sides still look brand new. That's why I was thinking of getting it.

Well, got new MRF REVZ-M 140/60 R17 fitted. Sad that i didn't any help here. Did my own research, and decided to go for a new tyre. Got the latest stock (April received) from MRF exclusive store and it cost me Rs 3200/- . The tire seems to be much different than the stock REVZ. This is more curved and it isn't flat anymore. As per the dealer, this is newly designed to counter puncture problem faced on previous revz, and its a medium compound tyre. It also has a minute change in thread pattern at the edges. Looks more like a P220 one with REVZ pattern. Being curvy, the area of contact is less and the bike seems to be nippy, and it has been three days since i am riding on it. Its been raining here in Bangalore since two days and it handled well. I feel it isn't grippy as the previous one in wet conditions.

I was quoted Rs. 3500 for Revz-M. If it is medium compound, the grip will surely be affected. Maybe to counter the puncture prone Revz tyre, they have gone for Medium compound on this one.

Put your bike on centre stand and slowly move your(with your hand) wheel clockwise, see if the tyre is tight somewhere while rotating ,if it is then loosen your bike's wheel holding nut, then rotate your wheel clockwise with full force, apply rear brakes and tighten the nut(dont leave the brake till you have tighten the nut),your problem should get solved by this method, i feel your rear brake shoe is touching the brake drum somewhere while rotating because while refixing the tyre the fitter hasn't centered the brake drum with brake shoes. If this dosen't work check whether your wheel is touching something while rotating.
