    Thanks.
Do you ride the clutch a lot in traffic? Also, frequent red lining burns the clutch plates.
Check if the top of the engine packing (head) is losing oil. That may be burning.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

      Thanks for the info.
I don't get these symptoms. Speed increases as it should be, pickup is fine and mileage is i think the same and no burning smell.

Motul 3000 20W40 is really good. Hard riding and don't expect the oil to go beyond 1500-1600kms.

        Cheerz!!

            Hey guys,

Sad day for me as I had my first accident with my 6-7 months old FZ-S. :'( It was jus a small fall due to a skid though and only the silencer has suffered cosmetic damage. The main problem is the handle bar took all the damage and when i rode from the place i fell to my home, the handle bar was bent to the right. Can I handle this by giving to a local mech or should i go to yamaha SVC ? if yes, how much would it cost ? There is any chance it might be a major problem ? And before the fall, there used to be a squeak sound when turning the handle bar as well, at times.

The best will be to replace the whole handle bar. Costs about Rs. 300-350.

Same accident happen with me... I have change the handle Bar cost around 270 rupees. After that I found it was titled again N come to know that forks are miss aligned so I did Fork alignment costed me 450 still the handle is miss aligned minor... N don't know What to do..still finding out the solution it's been 4 months.

I would advice you to change the Handle and also Ask SVC to check the fork alignment is it proper or not, if not do check properly before receiving your bike.

Does any one Know whats will be cost of new forks????

I m not Scaring You It's jus that You inspect your bike properly in front of mechanic in Yamaha SVC before handing over your Bike (Tip 1. Call any machanic if he is free or request him to come n check your Bike) ...

Well I will Recommend you Change the Handle bar n tell them that I will take a trail before Final receiving my bike. If any problems still persists tell them to do it properly or rectify it. Yamaha SVC always take customers lightly. As You are giving Money it's not a joke for you..!!!

Sorry to hear about your accident. By the way did you have a crash guard installed?

                        Cheers,

                          Hello All,

My Bike is 6 months old and clocked 10k on ODO. I just thought of changing the clutch cable. I am sure there was no teflon tube onside the outer cable of clutch cable. Now that i have bought the new one. it does have the teflon(guess) tube inside. I don't find it different in performance such as smooth or any sort of differences.

May be it's an attempt to fix the frequently failing clutch cable in few bikes (read my report here http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...tml#post773439).

If so, it's a welcome move. But, they should have called back the bikes with issue to try this new cable.

Today I was Riding my fz And found that when my bike touches 90 above it was struggling... Atlast I manage to bring up 102 Km speed and My Bike Rpm was not going above 6. Its was Like Rpm was stuck on 6rpm in the meter.. I was trying to give throttle as speed was increasing slowly but rpm got stuck in 6 point... Atlast I have to slow down the bike due to traffic upcoming. I tried in empty Flyover in Delhi.

Is there any problem in my Bike.
                              I am using Motul 7100 20W50(FS)

Are you on stock tuning or you got carb tuned from someone(or yourself)?
Once when I tuned it incorrectly and faced kind of similar problem like rpm not going beyond some point..

Had the handlebar bent when children at my society were playing near my fazer and bike fell.. The handlebar took all the pain and bike had no scratches! You SHOULD get it done from svc itself coz mostly aftermarket handlebars are misaligned, or might be incorrectly manufactured to cause minor cracks. If its minor fall then most probably forks won't have been damaged.. Check with svc ppl..
And do revert back with results after getting it done :-) will help a lot to others
