    if its not causing you any trouble, then better not touch it..
    dents usually cause pressure loss, and if thats not the case, then let it be.. and enjoy the ride..

      Guys, can a bent gear lever cause any trouble? I dont face any issues for changing gears. Any concern in the long run?

        the same answer as above

        if only the pedal is bent, no problem.. but if the rod connecting the lever to the gears is bent, that might do some damage..

              Hello friends,
              What are the symptoms of air in the brake line?
              I know that the brake lever feels spongy but is that conclusive? Or should I check for something else also? My bike is just more than an year old and completed 8.8k on the odo...

                Want to share one thing fellow riders.. We all sometimes face moments of acceleration dip, pick up getting less.. Today i learned something, its simple and we all might know about this.. But keeping the chain slackness correct is very important.. I got my bike serviced last week and it ran really nice for 2-3 days and then the problems above stated creeped up.. So today doing a wash up, found the chain very loose.. After tightening it, all that went away and its now all fine.. Back to normal..
                its nothing new, but still wanted to share.. Sometimes small thing do matter..

                  Yes, thats a very important thing.
                  Chain slackness eats up your bike's power and performance a lot times.
                  Lubing the drive chain once every week/300 kms will help keeping it in good condition.
                  I have seen some Fz's with entirely rusted chains, the chains cry for lubrication, but still those guys never care for their machines.
                  Sad to see such people.

                    Hey Guys, do you know what the cost is for a new set of tyres (front and rear) for the FZ/ Fazer

                    Im planning to stick to the stock MRF.

                    Any good place in Mumbai where I can get a good deal ?

                      Even i do feel spongyness in my brake. Told the SVC guy and his reply was "over a period of time, the brake does feel spongy" . But, the braking has taken some hit. My ride is nearing 11.5k. As per SVC guy, the brake pads are fine.

                        How can I get workshop manual for our bike.
                        I searched all over in the internet but couldn't get it.
                        Can I buy the hard copy somewhere.?

                          How many kms does a well maintained fz might last without going for engine work.

                          My friend's unicorn gave up it life just at 56k kms while my uncles yamaha ybx has clocked 86k but still running well.

                          Both were not taken care like baby but were not abused much.

                          I searched on the internet and found few others had similar problems.

                            the rear tyre costs some 2600rs from mrf.. don't know about front..
                            check the tyre thread for more info..

                            its not like you ride for 50k some kms and just take the bike to get overhauled..
                            its a continuous process of maintenance from day one till you ride the bike.. all the parts have their own life span.. some say at around 30k, the engine parts should be looked into and checked for any damage (like piston sings etc etc..) and so on..

                              Ok firstly i would advise you not to go for the stock rear tyre. The stock front is still good enough but for the rear option you can consider the Dunlop Tuff Grip. Till now hv done 5k kms on it and not a single puncture till date, also provides a very good grip.
                              If you stay in the suburbs or nearby, i can suggest you a good place from where you can get these tyres at a reasonable price.
