    • On way back to Hyderabadfrom Medak, I ran into a pot hole and my FZs rear rim got slightly bent..... tried hammering lightly but a crack began...
Tried putting a tube but didnt ride that much so had to do 70 kms on a flat tyre.....
Do insurance cover up for the bent rim and what if the tyre is damaged will it be covered too???

any one who has experienced the same??

              • Has anyone tried putting on seat cover? I have got this doubt that can the use of a seat cover or the yamaha's mesh seat cover increase the size of the back seat?
I would like to have the back seat more fluffy and comfortable for the pillion.

insurance claim for Tyres can be done through your yamaha dealer..
but final claim will be processed by MRF only...
it's too hard to get claim for rims,so best of luck..

THis... The size remains the same, comfort is lot more. I can attest to that now having spent more than 7 hrs in the saddle in one day.

I also had a query - I have 2.5K on the ODO so should I give the bike in for 2nd service right now.

If i have to wait till 3K, what all things should I get get done to take care of my bike after a day long ride?

                          Thanks!

How's the battery taking the load since you have fitted the 90/100 W bulb? Have you had any problems with the starter while riding in heavy traffic with the head lamp on?

I was thinking of fitting a 55/60 W Philips Xtreme power bulb at a cost of Rs. 800 approx. But I figure that since a new battery costs Rs. 1000 and a 90/100 W bulb costs Rs. 200, this might make more sense than the XP bulb. Ofcourse, a set of relays and new wiring is a must for the high power bulb but it won't cost much since I'll do the fitting and wiring myself.

                            Any thoughts on this?

                              • Hey fellow riders,

I went to a ride of 500 km to Kolhapur from Pune on Saturday...

                                Some of my queries:
                                1. If I ride for continuous 250km at a stretch, will it affect my engine?
                                2. My bike's performance has subdued. I could only reach 118kph at top speed. Earlier on same road, I've reached 125kph. My bike is 14k and 1 year old. What can be the problem of a dip in top speed?
