    • Hi all,
I brought the beast last month (PSN cochin) and already done 1600 km.Going through your thread made me to choose the best bike of its class and I am really happy with it.
Right now i am out of the country for job (a month ) so I told to start the bike and keep it in idle for 10 minutes everyday .All this going fine for the last 10 days but by doing this will cause any harm to the engine?

ask someone to take it for a short ride once a week too, there is a FZ in my building, jst like you he works abroad. After a month of riding he covered it up and went...few days back the covers came off and i took a look, many metal parts have rusted..esp the Disc...so ask someone to take a short rid once a week and dust the dust off!

            • Have anybody experienced this,

While travelling at a speed above 80+ does it give you guys the "JARK EFFECT" while accelerating & the engine gets off & it takes while to light up.

Did u mean the cost of G-Power... it costs 190Rs/- for me...
If you are going to change the spark plug, then go for Iridium IX which i have mentioned a few pages before, but i think nobody cared...

Coz i am pretty satisfied with the G-Power, coz i believe a lil more mileage for FZ will be awesome, that's the only factor lacking in the bike(in its class) as far as am concerned... so if one can get a decent 3-5km/ltr more, is that not worth enough?

I am definitely going to buy it in a couple of months...

Here's the link to Iridium IX Spark Plug for FZ16...

Bro am currently using G-Power which i gets atleast 2-3 km/ltr more... i recommended an Iridium IX for my friend's ZMA which he was getting 28-30km/ltr, after using iridium he's now getting 33-35 with normal riding and at few occasions he got 37 while riding at 60-65 km/hr...

But Performance wise i can't note any big difference...

This is my experience... give it a try...

I changed to G-Power at 15-16K... and finished the 20K mark now, i have planned to change it long before, but at that time there was no NGK Iridium IX only G-Power, so decided to wait, at last i inquired a shop and he told me that for some bike there are no Iridium IX available, eg:- Unicorn, the bike was released many years before are there are still no Iridium IX available... so i went for G-Power, but now NGK has released IX for FZ, Unicorn, Shine etc...

As you have already completed 6K there won't be any problem in changing to Iridium IX... also i think one can change to another at any time...

                          • Can't wait to change it to iridium. If anyone uses it, please share the experience with us.
It's not what you ride, it's your attitude that counts.

I thought was duped by the petrol pump guy and giving him all sorts of abuses in my mind. 2 signals later it stops blinking, next signal - 2 bars!!

I dont know why yammy left this one spot in a otherwise awesome machine.. The only place this fuel meter would be any more useless would be on a cycle!

That IS UNUSUAL. But having seen a lot of freaky stuff with my bike I am not surprised.
