I bought chain and sprocket set, but no intention to change until the current one shows any signs of failure.Originally posted by s_and_m View PostHmm.. ok.. but since I have the chain already, i think i'll change it up.

Also change the Brake Pads at around 16K (Completely depends on your braking style).Originally posted by deville_56 View PostSpark plug - 12k km
Airfilter - 12k km
Oil filter - 10k km.
first two can last double their life.
Mine is almost 16K done on Odo. Planning for the 6th and last free service at Kamla Yamaha (where I always do).
During my last service they were out of stock for Airfilter. Will get it done this time and also planning to replace the brake pads as they have started producing weird noises during braking.
Also to be on a safer side will get the clutch cable replaced. Checked my oil viscosity yesterday and it needs replacement. Also my chain is damn loose right now.
Can't wait for the service to be done. I cannot see my bike struggling.

Yeah the liner. FZ spares are mostly not available, but made available in 10-15 days of booking. I bought chain and sprocket set like that.Originally posted by RAK View PostRear Pads??
Do you mean rear break liner?? I have changed mine at 12K.
Is there any issue with the availability of air filter?#RetiredRider

Chain and sprocket set was not available at SVC. Thats really surprising. In which SVC you do your regular service?Originally posted by deville_56 View PostYeah the liner. FZ spares are mostly not available, but made available in 10-15 days of booking. I bought chain and sprocket set like that.
How much was the Odo done at that time and what was the price of it?

Even brake liner was not available at my sixth free service done at about 15700km. I changed it myself after a week. I get it serviced at Muthoot Yamaha. I didn't change my chain set yet, bought one though.Originally posted by RAK View PostChain and sprocket set was not available at SVC. Thats really surprising. there is aproblem everywhere because of the unavailability of spares even in Goa I couldnt find the oil filter, bar end weights, bike cover etc.
the chief mechanic over there told me that they had ordered for 400 oil filters one month back and they received just 30 last week which got over in 2 days....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009
