couldn't see anything on the indicator ... can't make out if it's full or empty ...

Any general interval for change of the brake pads and fluid ?
Usually when seen during daytime the indicator looks black if it is full and if
its not then you could see something in there(like a metal indicator or something)

Brake fluid manufacturers recommend change of fluid every year....
But in our daily COMMUTING use, it could last 2 years......

I think your fluid has leaked somewhere or it has lost its integrity....better
    change it FAST....

    cheers..

I will assure one thing to all the FZ owners here.
My upgrades will be ready in a month.
      The goodies will be,
Free flow exhaust system - will give gains well over 10% with a decent nearly 10% bump in fuel efficiency (will be ready in 3-4 weeks) with DB cutter for street use. You can remove the db cutter for full performance when outside limits.
180cc bigbore block - will give over 15% bump in power and a very good bump in fuel efficiency.
CDI, larger carb, head upgrade, stock replacement airfilter etc will follow soon.

I will probably build a showcase FZ to showcase the full potential of the FZ in terms of performance.

I have indeed already worked on an FZ engine already (quite radical) and that guy is quietly having fun without updating anywhere on the world wide web . Fuel efficiency went up from 28-30kmpl to 40kmpl and performance was good enough to whoop an RTR 180.

Will indeed keep you all posted.
My brand - "Race Concepts" will have the entire line-up for the FZ-16/fazer-16

      Joel

i am adding FFE first in my kitty since, i am getting impatient with the waiting... RanjithMN is the 1st member from this thread who has already ordered a ffe.. i am placing mine somewhere in the end of may...

you can start with the free flow exhaust as stage 1 mod which is a simple plug and play exhaust..

Yup it is completely safe!! Remember, you are not doing any in modifications to the engine internals. The Free Flow Exhaust lets the exhaust gases exit the engine more efficiently hence, increasing the engine grunt and power.. at the same time improving the longevity of the engine.

The stock resonator system (i.e. the big black end pipe of the exhaust) has been designed to reduce the flow of the exhaust gases to mute the sound of the exhaust thus putting more back pressure on the engine when revving at a higher range which in the long run reduces the life of the engine. With the FFE the engine will rev its nuts off faster then the stock.... hope this clears your doubt.

i suggest mail him.... his pm inbox has been inundated with queries hence full... so your pm may have simply bounced

              Cheers,

              • I was facing some issues with my gear shift, unable to switch from 2 to 1 when slowing down, gear was getting stuck in neutral. So in the last service, SVC changed the gear return spring.

The issue is still there and there is a new problem. When I down shift, I don't feel the click and the gear only falls in place when I release the clutch a bit (but this does not happen always).

Has anyone faced this issue and any solution?

thanks for the reply. my intial response was also disbelief. but the guy said they had to check the alignment and determine if there is any play and also they may have to check out forks with handlebar for any damage. if they say that forks are damaged or there is any other problem what should i do?
also, can i make a an insurance claim for the damage? any inputs from you guys are appreciated and thanks again for the reply.

what do i do if they say the might have to look at the forks and redo the alignment? does it still justify the the cost?

I changed only rear. front still stock. IT's very much grippy on dry tarmac, didn't try wet and corners. Very very flickable and tiltable than MRF

                          • yamaha fz apparel question

i'm very much interested in buying yamaha fz accessories listed on official website, especially the jacket. my local dealer doesn't stock any of them since they are not in much demand owing to high costs. yamaha website doesn't list the prices neither there is any option of buying it directly from the site. does anyone here has any details about pricing of apparels?

yes you can make an insurance claim.... but the only thing is that you will have to pay from your pocket now as the insurance claim will take about a month to process....

no even then 2k is not justifiable... i dnt think it is justifiable untill and unless they say that they have to change something in the full assembly....
