    Bro,

Let me clear your queries point wise:

    1) For costs please get in touch with joel directly: [email protected]

    2) The power up kits can be installed anytime based on your convenience, cash state. Joel can ship the parts across to you once the payment for the same has been received. The parts can be installed by the Yamaha svc mechanics or any mechanic with a good experience in engine rebuild in your area.

Or if it is possible, you can also land up at Joel's workshop in Blore and get the mod's done under Doktor's supervision. The best thing about these kits is that you can always return you bike to stock condition since, everything is bolt on, should you decide to do that (which i seriously doubt you ever would!! ).

    3) My personal opinion; if you really want to go ahead with the power up kits, 1st ride your Fazer for atleast a good 3000-6000 kms. While you clock these kms, you will understand the characteristics of this bike very well i.e. braking, handling, high speed stability and short falls of the stock bike. Post that, you can then go ahead with the Kits based on the state of your cash. It will also allow you to enjoy the actual difference post installation of the power up kits.

surprising fact is that post installation, all the fellow xbhp guys have witnessed an incredible increase in Fuel Economy in their respective Joelled bikes.

You can start With Free Flow Exhaust as stage 1 which can be installed post run-in (initial 1000 kms of careful riding by the manual to let the internals set in properly). It is a simple plug & play exhaust and won't take more than 10 mins to install and since, you are not fiddling with any of the engine internals of the bike, it can start as benchmark for you to decide whether to go ahead with the other set of upgrades or not.

    4) Regarding the parts Reliablity, Incredible Fuel Economy and insane speed reports post upgrade with Joel's power up kits , you can check the following threads of fellow xbhp members:

          how much did it cost?
where did you get it done?
          can you courier it?
it's the same seat modified by a seat maker shop. I have got it done here in pune nanapeth, the shop had pulsar 220 splitted seat in display. So i asked if they could modify fz seat like that, they were confident about that, so i got it done there in 600 rs.

            Hey Thanks ...

I've contacted joel, he's out of the country right now ... he'll be back in 3 days, he said.

I've decided to get a 1-2 yr old Fazer so I can get my mods done right now... and hit the roads.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions again ... Although i haven't come across a post discussing the mods on Fazer/Fz 16... can you please point me to any or provide the contact of a person who has got it done for his Fazer/Fz16.

Kindly go through my earlier posts on this thread... as i had already mentioned, so far there is no one from xbhp who have gone with the full mods for fz/fazer yet. Me, RanjithMN & Abhijit would be first of the lot to get the Free Flow Exhaust as stage 1 mod in our respective bikes. the guy who did the full mods from joel is not on xbhp..

i would be getting rest of the kits post oct sighting unavailability of leaves from work.

if you are indeed going ahead with the full mods, please do post your reviews on this thread which i am more than positive would be nothing less then pure appreciation for Joel's work and thrill of having a beast which can decimate a stock 180 rtr to bits and keep up with the bigger boys in the 200+cc range!!

i believe enough has been said about joel's work on xbhp.. so you can be rest assured that the mods will be reliable and will deliver the crazy performance one wants without losing on the fuel economy. Overall you bike would be generating 14bhp stock+5bhp mods= 19 bhp on the wheel!!

              cheers

Me and RanjithMN should be receiving the FFEs at the same time, probably by next week. However, i won't be able to give you all any feedback till mid July'11 as i am still in North East India busy on a project.

I believe we all should pester RanjithMN to post his results on thread asap..

Anyways for those of you who a want to see the pics of the Free Flow Exhaust with the DB killer and Without the DB Killer can check out the link below. All exhausts come with the DB Killer as standard, unless you really prefer your bike being loud at all the times, then you can place an order for one without the DB killer option at all:

                    • @shv18 .... One more suggestion please ....

I've just finalized a black Fazer, 1.8 yrs old, it has clocked 8.5K Kms, rides good although it's been through an accident ... side portion below the seat on which yamaha is written is little broken also the same side handle end metal cover (beside the accelerator) is broken too. few scratches here and there rest all is fine.

The owner says, he gets somewhere around 30 to 35 KmpL mileage. I am getting it for 60K ... is it a good deal ?

there's another one I might check which is 6K Kms 8 months old for 72K, should I check this one out ?

Also, can I get a leg-guard fitted in Fazer ... coz this guy didn't have it... I think its necessary for safety on cruse.

i would avoid the accident one and the other one try and bring him down below 70k.... make sure before you make the purchase, get the bike checked properly from a good mechanic or svc centre for any accidents or hidden problems.. servicing history etc.

Yes you can buy leg guards separately.. the one available from the svc costs around 600 bucks.

                        all the best
