  • Re: Honda CBR 250R

    Hello everyone,
Need your help for my cbr which is making a weird noise at 4k rpm sounds like metal buzzing it disappears after 4.2-.3 rpm and recently i serviced my bike but they are unable to rectify my problem they have changed the rocker arm bearing which i think had no problem. Will post a video of my engine sound.

      • Honda CBR 250R Tyre Confusion

        Hi,

I'm a bit confused regarding tyres for the CBR 250r. Whats a better tyre for the CBR250r front and rear

        1: Pirelli Sports Demon
        2: Pirelli Sports Dragon
        3: Michelin Pilot Street
        4: Any Others?

        Thanks
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle!

Go for mrf masseter for the rear and mrf zapper fy1 for the front i found this pair better for cornering, high-speed stability as well as wet grip. And the best part its economical.[emoji1]

Michelin offer pretty good grip but not as good as pirelli I think but they last about 20-25k km , pirelli is more grip superior but last about 10-15k km max . MRF are budget tyres , good dry grip but wet is bad I've heard and more puncture prone, same with pirelli, my Michelin's have run 5k km np at all soo far, they seem to have plenty of life and I am really happy with them 😊

For the front look no further than the mrf revz fc/fc1 (the ones that come on the ktm's).
For the rear depends on what you are looking for.. soft compound, more grip but more puncture prone (pirelli's or mrf masseters or upzise to the 150 mrf revz c1)
Michelin PSR : Slightly harder compound, takes time to warm up to provide optimal grip, longer life, less puncture prone, cost more compared to mrf.

That's infamous CBR250R rattle which most of riders hear between 4000 -5500 rpm. Nothing to worry about. Ignore it and ride on.

Hmm just a doubt, do you shift early on your bike?

I shift the gear after 4.5 or 5k rpm is that early?

It's totally fine, but do try to throttle the bike up to 6000rpm henceforth n see for a few days .Try to gradually raise the rpm n shift.

It also jerks if i keep the bike at constant speed and when i try to push my bike at higher rev range on the highways the rpm needle takes tiny pauses inbetween. The bike was kept for 6months without usage but i have cleaned the throttle body+new oil, filter, coolent etc and i've already done 1k kms after that but still its like this.[emoji20]

Have you tried resetting the ecu? Also do check your fuel pump , my guess it might be that, cause if there is jerky throttle the fuel pump isn't working in full efficiency

Fuel pump was checked at svc no problem in that. I think there is lot of carbon buildup in the inlet valves. See the throttle body it had too much of it.

                                Hi,

Picked up a 2014 Repsol CBR250r last Saturday. Got some Motogp-esque stickering and washed and polished her well. Looking forward to some great ride experiences with this baby.

                                Things pending :

                                Tyre Change
                                Mirror stalk painting
Oil Change to Shell Ultra 10w40.
                                Accelerator(s) and Clutch cable change.
