Does anybody had bought extended warranty? And is it worth to spend in that?
Today I talked to sales manager at Yamaha Factory Shop Pune, he told me that warranty will cover only labor charges, If any part replacement is required than I have to bear the charges.. Plus I will get a couple of free services. But till the entire period of warranty I've to stick to Yamaha svc, and need to use only Yamaha prescribed consumables (engine oil).
Me, my ride and endless roads...

I have taken it. Your manager is wrong. The parts covered include many many things like clutch, cylinder, tail lights etc. All the parts are written in the new manual that you get after taking the extended warranty. I am into my 3rd year with my bike and one of the LED's on the tail light has shut down. The svc here have promised to change that under extended warranty(part not in stock though). You will have to get the bike from Yamaha asc itself. Thats true. Using oil other than Yamalube depends on the svc persons. The free service of extended warranty is like 1st and 2nd paid, third one is free, 4th paid, 5th free. Like that. I am not sure about it. If you really need to know it, I will inform you tomorrow.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

My bike hit 10k during my recent ride. It has taken a little over 5 months since I got it to get here. There have been absolutely no issues with the bike. Never had any problems with the engine, the gearbox got a bit clunky, but has become smoother after the oil change to 300V. Its as good as new. I hope whatever products Yamaha is coming up with is as good as this if not better.

Though I hug the tank tight with my legs and keeping a straight back, my wrists and upper back pains a lot when theres a pillion with me. I hope i get used to this very soon (Also missing the low end torque of fz hence i don't feel like selling it off).

One more thing i noticed on the second day is that the rear number plate holder is not in line with the tyre. I noticed a few other r15 v2s too on the road with the same misaligned rear. I hope its only the number plate holder thats misaligned and its not a body vs chassis misalignment. Will get it checked at the svc. Will post pics pics of the issue too.

Hey congos on getting the best bike of 150cc segment !!!

Regarding the wrist and upper back pain incase of a pillion rider, yes it is true. It happens to me even after riding the bike for more than 1.5 yrs now. But without a pillion rider, you'll be absolutely ok. Also the bike was designed with a single mantra 'Arrive Alone !!'. So follow that mantra..

The number plate holder is misaligned with almost all R15s. Mine is tilted towrads left. It's nothing to be worried about. It's definitely not a body v/s chassis misalignment. I would suggest not to be bothered because of this.

R15 V3 is to be launched but no official dates as of now. They are planning for Diwali to launch it, but as far as the Yamaha story goes, they may launch it anyday without any prior hint. V3 will have an improved O2 sensor and an advanced FI and maybe a bhp of more power, but this is not confirmed at all. Wait for some months if you want or else go for the V2 one. V2 and V3 will have the same structural design.

No worries bro... Ride it till the kms are done...that is what I do...the SVC guys don't say anything as I service my bike from there only. They normally overlook the days if it is not overshooting by a month or two...

Friends,

Highly disappointed with the stock tyres (just a month old bike). And got 3 punctures in rear and 2 in front, despite of riding only on good roads.

Please let me know what is the price of new tyres and what is the max number of puntures this tyre can hold.

I had 4 punctures.. A normal rubber filling will work.. But if you feel like your losing pressure then use slime when you visit SVC next

Max. number of punctures depends, but it can easily take in 10-15.

Front Tyre: 1700

Thanks arnabc for the quick reply.

One more question, is it fine if puncture is fixed from outside means putting soft rubber in puncture from inside (its is bit cheap 100 bucks per puncture) or should i go with proper puncture fix in which they fix it from inside( cost around 400 per puncture).

Today i just notice that my baby carburator had few aade tirche teeths (carburtor grill).
Is this normal or defected, because in my fiat padmini all teeths are proper.
