Re: KTM 200 Duke
A I know it will start removing color from your bike. It will slowly start turning dull orange. Better not to use it. I just use water to wash the bike most of the times and baby shampoo sometimes. Keeps it shining like new :POriginally posted by Syed Zakir Ahamed View PostXBHPian's, Appreciate your experience for the following.
Yesterday I noticed something which literally made me cry louder. I washed my bike as usual and applied MOTOMAX 2k RUBBING COMPOUND for removing small scratches on the tank, for which I used a white cloth. Shockingly I noticed some orange color on the cloth
after that I cleaned with shampoo water and then applied the Shiner to finish the cleaning part.
- So, isn't a bad sign or it's just normal?
- How frequently can we use the Rubbing compound?
- Is it safe to use?
Please help me.

First fork seal busted. Need to get it changed. Is it true the warranty for fork seals lasts for 10000kms. My duke has done 11k kms almost. Anyways how frequently does this shit happens. Im a touring guy. Ill have to learn to mend it i guess. It will cost 800-1000rs the SVC guy says. Is dirt and debris the only factor which leads to oil seak faliure. ??Code:https://www.instagram.com/ankit_himalayas/

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hello ,i have faced this problem before the fork seal rings damaged due to the mud-dust and not buy any pothole mud enters in between the rings ,hence damaging rings and oil starts leaking.
Clean ur forks weekly or regularly with a cloth wipe all the dust ,the USD forks need to be taken care from dust specially in our kind of country .Hope i helped you

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Yeah, very happy.Originally posted by sivigshankar View PostMileage check - Tank full to tank full method : 270 kms at 7.19 liters ; 37.55 kmpl.. Odo reading - 16500+ kms... Should I feel happy about this ??
I just did a 280 km trip yesterday with a full tank with mostly on road and little bit of city ride. It was a combination of around 80-100 kmh on a better road in mostly 5th gear, then 110-135 kmh on highway in 6th, and then around 70 kmh in the night in 4th gear. I went into reserve last 50 km.
And then I refilled the tank to top with 8.7 liters.
Tankfull to tankfull it comes around 32 kmpl. Considering the aggressive riding style and great performance of the bike I'm happy with that mileage.
