Re: KTM 200 Duke
I've been facing this issue for over a month now and the svc guys have not been able to fix it yet. Also yesterday's rain made my speedo go crazy. It's showing 0 kmph since then. Occasionally though the actual speed blinks but again it comes to 0.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostHaving this problem since yesterday's sudden rain in Pune..

Have left the bike at the wakdewadi svc today. Let's see if they get it fixed this time or else I'm straight away shooting a mail to Ktm customer care.
The petrol tank cap has petrol deposits on it and a strong smell of petrol too. I think they will replace it today. Also my chain has given up at just 12k kms.
So many problems its giving me these days

Re: KTM 200 Duke
The mechanic told me the chain had jumped out. Was loose at a point and tight at the other. Never left the bike in rain, always have kept it parked indoors. But I think I've ridden a lot in the rainsOriginally posted by wallpapers123 View PostJust for the knowledge..How did u figure out the chain has given up..??

I have the front break doing 'see see' noise problem from the very first day. Got break pads replaced, kept quiet for 1 week and now it is back again. In fact the other day I was feeling the front wheel is so heavy that I had to put some effort to push bike in reverse direction.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Mine is making a loud squeaking noise from the front. The sound doesn't come on hard braking however. I think the mech said something about cleaning the callipers. Will post the solution once it's doneOriginally posted by AkshayA View PostI have the front break doing 'see see' noise problem from the very first day. Re: KTM 200 Duke
Today, some miscreants messed with my Duke's ignition lock while I was enjoying a picnic with my friends. He/They put a small wooden twig in the lock in such a way that i wouldnt be able to insert the key full. Sheesh... Not sure why people get so jealous and do such retarded acts. I somehow managed to remove a part of it and then forced the key in.
On a side note though, anyone got any juggad ideas to cover the ignition lock.2012 KTM Duke 200 ...Pure Love on two wheels <3

I don't get what these people get by doing these kind of things. I myself had my oil cap stolen which resulted in a lot of oil being sprayed out. For the ignition lock you can think of a flap kind of thing that old scooters hadOriginally posted by Evander_F View PostToday, some miscreants messed with my Duke's ignition lock while I was enjoying a picnic with my friends. Re: KTM 200 Duke
2 days ago I had gone to the svc to get the chain sprocket set replaced.
My bike's speedo was giving a lot of errors which were still present after installing a new speedo sensor. Ultimately the problem was found to be in the stator assembly which was replaced under warranty.
How can the coil go bad in just 12k kms. Ktm has some serious quality issues.
Also I have a front brake noise issue. They cleaned the pads and calliper with a spray they had. The sound was gone for a few kms but now it's back.
Now I'm wondering whether the adjustable levers I installed are causing this

The 2014 dukes come with silver ones so one would think the spare parts would be the same..

The newer Honda Activas have a closing mechanism to cover the ignition keyhole.Originally posted by Xzibit Roll View PostI don't get what these people get by doing these kind of things. Btw i've read about that oil cap issue, recently I found this on Facebook.
This is designed by Dhaval Mahidharia. It seems to be quite useful since it requires a spanner to open it.2012 KTM Duke 200 ...Pure Love on two wheels <3
