and one more thing yesterday I had a rough ride I revved the bike but never crossed 65 (its tough to keep the bike below 60)will it damage my cbr? at what rpm should i upshift the gears? i mean what is the max rpm at which i can upshift gears during the running time...waiting for ur reply...thanks in advance

Damn! You were thanking me., and I didn't get a mail notification for this post.!! Sorry for the late reply... we are now brothers of biking bro!! Happy to help anytime!!!
About the gears., I still experience the problem, odo is around 1.5k and have been reduced compared to what it was in 500odo. So, do the first service and look for the changes then!!
You revved the CBR and you are worrying for that.., Just once is not a problem bro.! Btw, I did a rough kinda run-in. No problems still now., so, just one time revving up is not going to pose any problem. Do your first service at the end of one month or earlier if you revved and rode frequently.

      Oils are kinda 3..
      Mineral, Semi-synthetic, Fully synthetic
Mineral oils are the one which occurs naturally formed from the decomposition of plants and animals for a prolonged time. As the result of the same they tend to contain impurities which cannot be filtered completely. They are much thinner and the viscosity they provide is much lesser comparatively. They are best for running-in the engines are they provide more friction between the rings and cylinder wall and are commonly used in lower displacement engines and not-so performance oriented engines.
Fully-synthetic or FS oils or the ones which are produced manually using creation of molecular arrangements as like in natural oils. As it is made, they can be made in the way we want them to be, and so the molecules are more in a arranged form and so they are much more thicker and more more viscous. And so comes their applications in high heat and friction involved situations. They are commonly used in performance issues. and the main bottomline is, They are costly.
Semi-synthetic oils are ones that are formed by mixing the natural oils and specially formed mineral oils, so that the advantage of both can be achieved and the cost can be reduced significantly.

And the common suggestion is that "stick with mineral oils till 2nd service"., but cars comes from manufacturers with even fully-synthetic oils., and about the bikes., think most are with mineral oils.
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

                      • bros,

i have problem in starting the cbr. when i turn on the ignition, the tachometer will run to 13k rpm then back to 0. then when i push the starter button, it's like out of battery and the tachometer will run again to 13krpm and back to 0, but then the engine will start.

                        have anyone tried this problem?

                        thanks!

The grade of engine oil is 10W30.
Reg. break-in, I did a combined method I would say. Let the bike know my style of riding and slowly make it adopt to it. No run-in period or whatever. Just follow the manual notes, "no sudden acceleration and full throttle starts" and you should be doing good!

No bro... I haven't heard of such a one. From what you say, I guess it should be associated with the electrical parts. Check it out soon!

Leave it to the ASC guys. They'll take care. They'll use Honda's recommended oil. Its only if we wanna change, we have to worry! And enjoy your ride bro! Don't worry too much! There's a lotta people out there who don't even know what is running-in and their bikes are not seizing! Chill out!! You seemed to be too worrying about, just felt like and said! Happy riding!
