  • Mrf revz slipping problem in pulsar 200ns

Hello everyone, I changed the tyres of my 200 ns to mrf revz rear r15 tyre and zapper fq front at about 12000 km. Now my odo is 23000 and my bike skids from rear on turning a little more right side, the svc guy said this is due to tyre. My rear shock absorber is also leaking. Please help. I feel as if front and rear tyre doesn't move in straight synced line. No body replies on this forum.

Is your bike 2017 edition? and what was the total cost on this maintenance?

          Hi everyone,

Have been facing the infamous flat spots above 6K rpm or between 85 to 105kmph with my NS. Have gone through pages after pages of this forum. Many have complained of the issue but no one talks about the solution.... Can some one please suggest what could be the problem and the probable solutions in case you have already faced it in the past. Have done the following

          1) cleaned carb umpteen times
          2) replaced diaphgram 2 times
          3) Changed air filter

Could it be the fuel filter ? the battery ? It gets really irritating. Bike really struggles to surge ahead of 85kmph. Have to wring the hell out of the acc to make it go past 95kmpl.

I too have the same issue, sometimes while touring, when I'm driving at 80/85kmph in 6th gear and i twist the throttle to max, the bike doesn't respond like it should, it goes to 90 after like half an hour. I need to down shift to go at higher speed. If anyone has any solution for it please help.

              Check for wheel alignment.

ABS version is 1.36L OTR! That's way too much :0 Non abs is around 1.15L OTR. 21K Extra, In which 12k is for abs and 9k increase in RTO cost ( in Karnataka)

You can go to a wheel alignment serivce provider let's say MRF TIRE TOK. They have got good machinery which will help in providing accurate results.

If wheel alignment is not correct then you find both the tyres not in sync and when free handed behaves abnormal.

Check for the tyre balancing also if required. That may help you if you didn't do it when you last changed your tyre.

Well my backfire problem is not solved. I have a doubt that the valves are the culprit.
NS200 has a high compression engine made more complex by three spark plugs. I reckon there is too much heat near the valves (intense local heating) which may be causing warping of either valves or metal around the valves.

I have been battling backfire problem for last one year. I even tried car oil in my bike and surprisingly it worked to reduce my backfire problem.

Tightening the tappets did not solve my backfire problem. Luckily I do not have the flat spot as you mentioned, though my bike does not accelerate as well as I expected.

Try using Motul mineral oil, and changing this oil at 1500km interval. Also check if your bike is overheating due to cooling fan not running.

There is a Air Control Screw (or Volume Control Screw) on the carburettor. When you turn it clockwise (by a flat-head screwdriver), you increase amount of air. Turning anti-clockwise reduces the amount of air. You can play with it. I have turned it clockwise almost to the end (do not apply force, gently). I had to do this as my bike was idling too fast, and I could not set it properly by idle screw alone.

There is no other setting on carburettor except these two screws.
