I did. He said problems show up after service. So i said i will not pick up the bike until problem is resolved. He was confident that it would be fine.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostDid you ask him what was the reason?? How did it happen on a new bike that too after the first service..

Dude took my bike today from SVC Maxmotors, Rajaji nagarOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View Post+10 to your post. Looks like the SVC guys are jusy playing around with the bikes that come in for service..
Are you guys with the Mechanic when he is attending to the bike??
Looks like cam shaft quality issues to me as there have been few others facing the exact same kinda problem.. mailing to Hero HeadOffice is the best solution..

And attached is service bill, they changed full cam saft head assembly. However bike still resist move once you reach 60kph. Also if you try to push the bike in 2nd or 3rd gear bike vibes hell lot and become harsh. I upset from this incident and again went to SVC but he said Hero Service engineer will be coming tomorrow and i should bring the bike back to them and fire Hero guys.
However i realized that there are many fellow ZMR owners has same problems and many of them ready to sell it for less. I dont what is the issue and why they cannot rectify this.
I even mailed to Hero Motocorp but no one responded me.
It seems that Hero Become dumb in sloving this issue.Last edited by Divya Sharan; 12-23-2014, 04:50 PM.

Next time onward while posting the SVC receipt, please mask your name, address, bike's reg number, chassis number, VIN number etc. These are sensitive pieces of info.Originally posted by Jagadish Ramu View PostHowever i realized that there are many fellow ZMR owners has same problems and many of them ready to sell it for less. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Well, i wouldn't say all new bikes. Its just luck. I've seen many new karizmas here than older ones, which sound awesome and look stunning. But then, there are a few bikes which tend to have issues due to some reason or other. 4 years back, mine was such a bike. Bad luck. I had thoughts of selling it too. But look at it now! Its so much more refined and am simply loving every kilometer i do.
In your case, you need to search for a better asc, and if you are lucky, the correct issue can be spotted.

No offence meant, but in most cases its the biker and not the bike!Originally posted by abhi7013 View PostWell, i wouldn't say all new bikes. Its just luck. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
In my case i agree to it bro! I was still 19 when i got this bike and had zero knowledge on it. I didn't even know the gear pattern and it was after two days that i observed absence of kick start! The only thing that had drawn me to this bike was the brand, fi(yeah i knew about fiOriginally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNo offence meant, but in most cases its the biker and not the bike!
) and the looks. That's it. And thanks to this forum, ive learnt all that i could. Still a lot on the way.
But then that's my case.
What about the guys who have barely completed 120-150 kms and have issues in the new karizmas? That too only few. That definitely I'd say bad luck. What do you think?

Newton's third law. Every action has equal and opposite reaction. You have given the action.
The reaction from hero will go to the area manager. You will not get reply. Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
A major difference between old and new ZMR is the high lift CAM which seems to be causing problems in many New version of ZMA-R and ZMR...The older ZMR cam will give you better peace of mind...but it will cost you 1.5 bhp loss. If the ASCs are not able to correct your problem , then you can ask them to use the older version cam....Originally posted by Jagadish Ramu View PostDude took my bike today from SVC Maxmotors, Rajaji nagar

Most problems are caused by lack of knowledge of ASC Service Engineers...and lack of time for them, since they are more concerned with Nos of serviced bike than repaired one...
ZMA-R and ZMR are still the bikes to have for reliable commuting and touring...Last edited by psr; 12-23-2014, 09:52 PM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

However that's an old topic to talk. I used about 6 bikes and can make out difference in healthy bike non healthy bike. When I took zmr I did not felt any normality from day one. I just gave a chance thinking its new breed and need some time for wear and tear. But noticeably it started behaving totatly different to my twist and it has no thirst and gurnt to pull me on any gear. I took my bike on completeing 200kms it was guy who in svc mis leaded me that saying its only a issue with air leaking will be corrected in 1st service however over the period the throtle stuck or RPM stuck between 4k to 3k arrived. Then first service done in 634kms. Which did not solved the issue. Evantuly cam shaft gone and made me little insane and wrote to Hero. However I visited svc again and bombarded them now they I feel my bike in track as they readjusted the cam chuan tension and tappets . I don't that is the cause or no. But now I can feel grunt and thirst in bike for every twist.
Will update more after using it for some time or update after 2nd service.

Good to know that you have adequate exposure and knowledge over the years , which I am sure will help you to get the best of the ZMR...Happy that the problem had been attended to and the bike is running ok now...Originally posted by Jagadish Ramu View PostDear senior I did not commented yet on over much tempted topic of a real biker and adjusting to bike rather than complaining.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)
Thanks senior. I also I heard from SVC that Hero Rnd team are in visit to all major delears and finding out the issues in new ZMR even they said they are trying incroporate some rubber element in front faring or redseing the frame fixture to ensure minimum vibes. Once this done then all exisiting new zmr owners will be recalled to install this. I am not sure is this true or just cooked up story. And he even mentioned if they found high lifted cam cause problem they will roll back original engine specs. Bull shit, hero is not mad to invest lot of money doing Rnd on new and simply roll back original specs.Originally posted by psr View PostGood to know that you have adequate exposure and knowledge over the years , which I am sure will help you to get the best of the ZMR...Happy that the problem had been attended to and the bike is running ok now...
