Most Stock exhaust are meant for FE and Pollution under control......A properly designed Exhaust can add at best 5~10% to acceleration and HP....but this includes everything from bend pipe to dia,to length and the end can...Only exhaust mod will lean out engine AFR and cause the engine to operate at much higher temperature...Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostExhaust alone can boost performance to that extent..? I did my second service. Gues what? Clutch and pump both gone. This time another SVC Sai motors @ BSK 3rd stage.
However the bike still at SVC as he still need to find out why bike heats quickly and blocking throttle when twist it 90 degree.

Hi guysI have few questions here. Does normal factory paper air filter makes roaring sound in zmr. I noticed this today when I took the bike from svc. However I need to mention here now the bike felt more refined than earlier. Whatever he done but bike completely different now. when you open half throttle to over take or try to drag I hear roaring sound which dosent exist earlier. Just wonder is this normal. By the way he charged me 248rs for air filter replacement. Would this caused the power loss and bike resist move fast? Because my zmr relatively more faster than earlier and rolls on 80kmph in fraction of seconds.Thanks to all

Its an issue you need to worry about, not be happy for! Either the filter is not fixed properly or the snorkel is fit loosely. Thanks for your inputs.
I will check this out. Meantime this my observation during ride in every gear.
1st gear picks smoothly and there is sudden rush till 10kmph.
2nd gear is slugish not like old zmr or may be Mein has issue it resist anything above 18kmph and vibes too much if I try toopen the full throtel. 3rd gear has no issue picks all the way to 60kmph and 4th to 90kmph and no sign of vibe. But again above 110 in 5th its vibes and motor scream out loud. Just wonder why second and 5th sluggish and vibes.
I tried in old zmr and over taking second gear is like breaze.

Just open the side panel and inspect if the air filter component is actually in place or not. Also nee if all the screws are present, and do inspect if the manifolds are properly in place, the resonator and snorkel as well. Anything out of the normal isn\'t considered good.Motorcycling Experience:

Its realy helped me. Yes that manifold are not in place so its making roaring sound due to improper fitment of air filter.
Secondly the pickup issue is still exsist. I took bike to Baghat motors where hero RnD are present those bunch of idiots are more interested noting the issue rather than solving. They firstly said whatever could be causing poor pick up issue will be solved. But took my bike for spin said filter issue then filter replaced but they solved roaring sound but now pickup even more worsen. I doubt due to more air intake my bike moved freely. Then again took for spin said clutch plate gone. I wonder how its possible in brand new bike. Below are the issue I face and its unsolved.
1) Bike resist roll on free I mean its not revs as normal. Need twist throtle like full throtle more to roll but its moves like lazy donkey not like horse.
2) Those figures of 0~60 in 3.60 I can only dream it in dream n takes lot more to reach to 60 and vibes like crazy.
3) no mileage hardly guves me 28~30kmpl
4) Anything above 60kmph engine gives me feeling like out of breath and makes creek sound if I push hard
5) Max speed 100kmph and not beyond that and throtle ends to that even if i open full throtel bike remains same speed and dosent respond to throtle.
6) Riding with pilion is nightmare it dosent pull like 220cc its like 70cc mophed with pilon.
7) Takes air when open throtel suddenly and respond after while with jerk
Can any one from banglore help me with good service center who can solve my issue.
This idiot hero zonal officer ask me to visit nearest svc and get clutch replaced. But doubt its required more attention than replacing the clutch plates. I doubt throtle cable and sensor too. May be cam shaft and piston could also be culprit.
Any help or I just sell nd get rid off this.

Its clearly evident that your injectors arent functioning properly. In ZMA we get the similar symptoms when the carb slide is stuck. It would be best if you claim warranty and get the injector and throttle positioning sensors changed. And while doing that also inspect the ECU.Originally posted by Jagadish Ramu View PostHi Ashwin,

The choice is upto you, the Karizma\'s can be a pain in the ass, but nonetheless no matter what it wont leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. (The reason so is that I believe the motor is so primitive and rudimentary to cause any real damage to itself.
)

Since your bike would be attended to in warranty, get the following things done!
1. Clutch plates and pressure plates replaced. Not just clutch plates.
2. Sprockets and chain checked for abnormal wear.
3. Injectors cleaned.
4. Bad fuel check. Check if water is present in fuel.
5. Get the tappets adjusted to spec, i.e. at 0.1 mm for both inlet and exhaust valves.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Also PSR is correct, many new ZMR owners claim top speed is 140+ without modification.
If you are moderate height and weigh less could be able to achive 145 on odo easily. And even ZMA owners claimed 139 at hero workshop.
