I would suggest a check of the Throttle sensor also. it's located on the throttle body on the other side of the cable.

Have checked with Two svc's near my home. Both didn't have the pump or the scanner tool and they didn't know what is meant by OBD. i wanted to check whether tata motors has one coz I have a safari. the answer is yes. thank god at least the car SVC's have this things.
Well, i'll try being present when they service the bike. Normally, people aren't allowed inside the service area. This time, will have to be a bit rough with them, as the issue arised right after service. Thank god the bike is in warranty. Have noted down wll possible reasons and elements which have to be checked

What pads you suggest if I do not want the OEM pads?

OEM>Shriram Alpine(depends on availability in your area)>RTR pads.

Also, why don't you want OEM pads? Why do we always look for cheaper (yet not very efficient) options?

That's because we can not digest the unreasonable price difference (>300%).

If OEM pads are not significantly more expensive than Shriram Alpine, I will go with OEM.

          Thanks!

Edit: My local spare parts guy has brake pads from 'Elite'. Heard about this?

Bhai, try to understand. Nissin pads are costly for quality.
            Elite, no idea!

That's why studying the specs of the bike, market behaviour and reaction towards bike, spares, costs, availability, etc are very necessary before buying. Now if you buy cheaper products, its a waste, for your bike will not perform.
This a case with many of my friends who bought duke 390 but are now unable to pay up for the spares..

I suggest you to check with a wholesale shops where they may have the old stocks. for example: I replaced my ZMA rotor recently. the current price is 1720 and i got it for 1180 from a wholesale shop in pudupet. it's a 2012 feb manufacturing.

easily there will be difference of 200-400 rupees.I have replaced my brakes pads only twice once at 18,00 and then at 34,000. both times i got the OEM brake pads. first time it was 1110. then a i got the contact of a the wholesale shop from a mechanic. second time i got the brake pads for 850

Hold on. You said old stocks. And you say break pads? Guys, to save a few bucks you want to go for such shortcut methods? Me being a student too, would not mind begging money from my folks. But second hand break pads?
Btw, before replying, please do clarify, by old stock, if you meant used. Cause that's my understanding.. However, if you meant new ones but old. Then please please ignore the above

there are few shops in pudupet, arrora motors in GP road. these shops are whole dealers. they get spare parts as bulk order. the shop which i'm talking about is one such.

the spare parts for karizma will not move like for a splendour becuase the number of bikes are less when compared to splendours. so the stocks will not sell. for example I got a karizma r rotor with the genuine hero honda packing and it was brand new. only thing it it was manufactured in 2012. the same goes with brake pads and all parts. the sale for the same price printed in the packing. but the price difference was phenomenal in 2012 to 2014. I got the spare parts for few of my freinds in this forum too.

I find the spare cost very high when compared to the past. I would go for a brand new spare with old manufacturing date at a lesser cost. truth is that most service centres be it( yamaha, tvs, hero) will not have all the spares in stock. A order would take long time and they source spare parts from this kind of shops. this shops have the spare parts that most service centers doesn't have.

At the end, the category to below your name(be it rusted or addicted) and the number of posts determines the respect in the forum. Now I'm where in this family.

Regarding the tag, others might give respect to a member only on the basis of that, which they may not deserve, and i admit i might be one of them. There's a lot to learn and i know am younger and lots of elders have fewer posts and are new members. I agree that it creates an unintentional impression in the viewer's mind.
Hence i submit to you, the number of posts or tags are just statistics which should never be taken seriously. A fresh member in a forum like this could very well have more knowledge than a guy who's here for a couple of years. No stuff like senior or freshers here.
However, makes no difference for me, as i use xBhp Connect app and it doesn't show the details thankfully. Just the member name!

i was just worried by your words and my reply was just reflex. I shouldn't have used the word respect, tag, number of posts. I know choice of words makes a difference.

I wish to share a few odd bits of info I picked up of late...
Regarding the brake pads, the original Nissin is the best in Ensuring that the Brake disc plate does not wear out or form grooves, since the metal particles used are pure Copper....similarly, Expensive but better than OE is Ninja 250 front brake pads made out of Sintered Metal....
The Shriram Alpine replacement pads are just as good in dry weather, but looses out on sharp braking in wet weather..but costs just 120/- for front ,and is made with Brass and steel metal particles. The Rear pad costs approximately 150/-...The R15 rear pads and ZMR rear pads are same...
Regarding the New Improved ZMA-R and ZMR , there have been complaints of excessive noise from engine. I had earlier posted what a ASC Service engineer had shared with me...that the new bikes have larger Rocker to Valve gap setting ie., more than 0.1 . This he said is because of the high lift cam ....I am yet to ascertain if this is the only reason since I had not been interacting much with the ASC engineers on this....
I Will share more info as and when I am getting to know...
When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
