hey guys! as i saw that the official website for the new karizma zmr does not show all the specs of the new bike,so i am posting the specs sheet of this new bike from my owners manual..
as you can see that the wheelbase has been increased but the ground clearance has been decreased..

actually theres one issue about the riding position i want to discuss here, when i am riding solo the position is very relaxed and doesn't feel tiring at all and is almost the same as the old zmr in terms of comfort level,but when i am riding with a pillion ,i dont know why but the left arm hurts after riding a few kms and its not just me but my friends have felt the same,can you suggest what might be the reason behind that??

you are right ,thats probably the only thing i dont like about this bike,yesterday i took a ride with my mom and she kept complaining how she couldnt sit comfortably on the seat and kept sliding towards me as the seat has a little slope to it,only if there was any way to make it flatter..

yes i also read it in a review that the battery has been given 7ah rating but this manual doesn't say that.

actually i havent noticed any major difference yet but there is definitely more grunt to it has the engine is more revvy now.

thats what happened with me this is my first bike and i am not finiding any troubles at all with this posture even my friends who own fzs ,electra ,220 told me that its going to hurt your back and everyday after riding this bike, when i lay on my bed,i try to feel if there is any pain in my back ,but there isnt so so far so good..

thanks buddy!your words mean a lot to me ,i really liked your road trip and yes i too found out that it doesnt work that way in 220 and i just want to add a higher wattage bulb for high beam before my trip to leh next year ,i hope the bike will be greased in by then right?

Very good review and congratulations for the purchase.

Few of the online "first impressions" have mentioned vibration issue. Have you experienced the same? I am more interested in vibrations in 70-90 kmph range.

This is one of my first posts to this wonderful site. Hope to blend in well.

Just saw the bike in the evening. Lights were on. Passed me from the opposite direction. Was amazed for an instance. Looks classy with lights on, from both front and rear. Really an attention grabber. The quality of LEDs are brilliant.

no there is no engine kill switch it bothered me at first but it doesnt feel like a need anymore,about the rvms,i cant say about that as i will just start using them from tomorrow after almost everyone in this forum have prompted me.disk brakes are a gem! i mean you cant compare it to ABS, but they get the job done effortlessly ,and about the mileage..38 de rahi hai abhi to

yes bro the leds looks amazing and i have been an owner of this bike for almost a month now but i am still sometimes blown away by its looks and just want to stare at it all day long !sorry if am being preachy but this is the exact same feeling when you have a really good looking girlfriend and you are just blown away by her beauty and you are proud that she is with you,maybe thats a not a right thing to say or right to compare a girl with bike but the feeling is exactly the same,sorry again if am being little chauvinist here

dont worry [MENTION=67143]sanjanikar[/MENTION] i am also new here , and yes the vibration is there but it wont bother you and especially the speed range you are mentioning it is not present at all,in fact the opposite is true the fairing only vibrates at very low rpms in lower gear after that it is butter smooth and if you are talking about the whole bike vibrating at high speed then no,hero has done a great job in vibration dampening and isolation,yes it does resonate a little just like any other performance segment bike but when you are riding at >90kmhr you are not going to notice that because of the adrenaline rush.!

There is no Engine Kill Switch.. The RVMs don't vibrate as they do in the previous generation ZMRs.. they are stable atleast I checked upto a speed of 85 kmph and they were fine and the rear view was clear..

the Stock Horn is a Dual horn and yes, they are pretty loud. You can't expect them to be the best in the market.. after all, they are stock I changed to Roots Trumpet horn as I am a frequent Highway Cruiser

The Disc brakes are the same as in the ZMRs.. the rear brake isn't as crisp but that is what is going to save you at the end of the day.. otherwise the bike will skid and fish tail the rider to death..

the Old ZMRs in city give some 35-40 kmpl.. for me it used to give me 43 kmpl and nowadays, as the bike is getting old and the FI needs cleaning.. I am getting somewhere around 30-34 kmpl.. on the other hand, highways if you ride at 80-90 kmph.. you are sure to get 45-50 kmpl.. and the new generation ZMRs have better highway cruisability, hence I feel they will give the same or even better FE than the old generation ZMRs

if she is sliding down, what you can do is, get a proper seat cover which has proper grip so that the pillion won't slide down..

Where is the Battery situated?? how will you open the side cover?? is that going to be a difficult task??

The engine has more grunt post 5000 RPM and I loved it though I love smooth rides which is why I always preferred the karizma twins

LoL.. Even after 5200 kms of riding for 5 days.. My back was perfectly fine after I came back home..

are the headlamps using H7 or H4 bulbs?? the stock ones are 35W and you can upgrade it to 55/60 W bulb if it is a H4 and you can upgrade to 55W bulb if it is a H7.. in this case, you might need 2 pairs.. I am not sure how the H7 works so just kind of guessing here and don't worry. The bike will be perfect for Leh but be careful with the lower part of the fairing. heard that many of the ZMRs face problems where in the Lower part of the fairing breaks off because of No Roads Leh Road

Thank you for the reply. I am actually torn between new ZMR or Inazuma. Both dont have ABS so thats a big negative for me but still how do they compare for comfort and ride quality? Is really Inazuma is in different league for comfort and as a "long distance cruiser"? Is that comfort is worth to pay for a 1 lakh extra? I guess i need to wait for a little more to get definite long term impressions.

I do understand the price difference and am comparing a faired bike to a naked one but still...... if I am paying money for a long distance comfort machine which is not a cruiser then these two come as viable options. NO CBR/Ninja/Duke talk please to confuse more.
