Dude, before u get some big bike, get the license at age 18. Also looks alone doesn't convince you to buy a bike. See the engine reliability , mileage and also begin with smaller cc bikes from 100-125cc. This is for your safety

If yes then which bike should I choose.
      Definitely it is worth buying....

I agree with what dude_creative has suggested. Also keep in mind the weight of the bike. Always mention your height and weight, so people here can guide you better.

Personally, it does feel heavy while at standstill. I have dropped it thrice and I used to ride Karizma for many years before this. On a bright note, once you are on road, the weight dissappear and bike feels very stable (off-course due to the weight )

Agree with this completely, the weight put me off. It was great of rachitsharma2000 to offer me a test ride of his bike. I was toe tipping, so I knew in an emergency situation, it would tilt beyond control. Hence I decided to pass on it! Do give it a nice long test ride and then decide. But again, for a beginner bike at this point, I'd recommend the Apache 200 which is just launched. Plus it's Dual ABS & with a kerb weight of 148 kg!

My height is 5'11'' and my weight is 97 kg with a strong and somewhat well built body.
Brother I don't care for the license.
          As I live in jammu.
And the traffic policemen here are not much devoted towards their duty.
I know the license is meant for my eligibility not for showing the police personals but I really love the bike and wanaa buy it.

Please dont buy any bike. In case of any accident, your dad will be in legal trouble. Atleast think about your family.

If you are still really desperate to buy a bike, then consider:

            > Honda Hornet 160 CBS

            > RTR180 ABS

            > Gixxer SF

Sharma Ji...Its not about your height/weight/legal issue of a license.

The driving attitude of a 16-year old is different from an 18-year old which is different from a 25-year old.
Unfortunately, the problem is, "Driving with responsibility" comes with age, and not just the number of miles one has clocked.

Meanwhile, i suggest you to stick to gearless vehicles and do not forget to use a Helmet.

Sharma ji....If you Love the Beast then close your eyes and listen what your Heart says and if it says Pulsar RS200 then just go for it.
Every bike in this world has some or the other problems but here there is only one Indian bike manufacture who things always for Indian like TaTa thinks, so be Indian and Be Proud to buy Indian products.
Looking other option vs Beast...100% Beast rules.
Just saw a video in YouTube about a guy took Pulsar RS200 from Pune to Bangalore and return back riding for 1600 kms in just below 22 hrs,So this shows capacity of bike and Engine and FI technology keep machine cool and calm.
Also Saw International video where Pulsar is No.1 brand in many countries worldwide.

Why you should not buy RS200 now: RS200 is a mechanically complicated & advanced technology bike.

                    > Since you live in Jammu, spare parts will be tough to find. A good service center with skilled mechanic is needed, again very difficult to find.

                    > RS200 has fibre fairing (with no crash guards), I feel it's body is not fit for Jammu & Kashmir roads.

                    > Plus you are under age. RS200 is powerful machine & more risky to cause accidents. It also does not have full 2 channel ABS.

That is why I suggested you RTR180-ABS: With ABS you have lesser chances of accidents, thus saving you of legal trouble & also your precious body.

It is not very powerful + it has best possible safety + easy to repair + spares available + reliable, durable + runs well on tough roads of Jammu.

RTR180-ABS is also fun to drive, good looking, also it has kick-rod for cold weather or if battery dies.

You felt the suggestions were useless when I said Apache 200, now I wonder what you'd say to those who after me suggested the Apache 180 ABS - Utterly useless? Yeah you maybe one of the fastest riders in your area, but are you the most responsible one? What would you do in an emergency situation being a minor? Given that a thought? What if the policeman decides to do this duty, what would you do? Say you're on a test ride?

Keeping your location in mind, you feel serviceability is really good and spares are available?

If you feel you want to go for the RS200 irrespective of the feedback you've received here, then go for it, you wouldn't stop yourself anyways, would you?

We're just trying to help, that's all.

Good luck with your choice and ride safe!

My brakes squeak as well but only if I apply them at a standstill and move the bike. Say for example on a slope while going forward or backwards.

I'll point it out in the 2nd service which I'm doing early (2.5K Kms) as suggested by some members here. Hopefully they solve it!

In my case its a very high pitch sound and increases with the speed and disappears when I wash the brakes and creeps in afterwards. It feels like something is rubbing against the disc. Still waiting for a solution. Just to illustrate you with an example have u ever heard Tata Indica car making those weird high pitch squealing or say screeching sound. It is that kind of sound. Hope you will understand.
