My gs150r is from Feb 2012 model. It suffered from hard gear shifts from day 1. I complained about this to Aryan suzuki, but they said that gear shifts will be hard in new bike and asked me to ride it. They said gear shift will smoothen by 1st service. After first service, gear shifts still remained hard. Aryan suzuki refused to acknowledge that there was a problem. Now they said wait till 2nd service. But hard gears shifts remained after second service too. Aryan suzuki did not do anything about it. Hard gear shifts was becoming worse all the time. Sometimes, bike would get stuck in a gear and refuse to change. I had to re-acclerate, ride another 20 meters, and try gear shifting again. And gear may or may not change. The problem becomes worse as the bike engine warms up.
Got my 3rd service done at Value suzuki vasanthnagar. Reported hard gear shifts at 3rd service, and again nothing was done. So, 2 days after 3rd service, i went back to Value suzuki and complained to them about hard gear shifts. Though unintentional, I complained in showroom in front of other potential new customers. They asked me to meet service head, Mr. Shamsheer. Mr. Shamsheer started the bike on center stand, changed gears, and immediately acknowledged that there is problem with gears. He asked me to leave bike and collect it next day. I got the bike next day, gear shifts were very smooth. But this lasted just 4 days and then hard gear shifts returned. I noticed that they had left the rear lock nut of the clutch adjuster completely loose.
Anyway went back to value suzuki after a week. Mr. Shamsheer was on leave. Anyway left the bike for repairs. This time they said it will take many days, as they might have to change parts under warranty and require approval from suzuki. Got the bike back after 1 week. This time they said they changed pressure plates. Gear shifts had improved, but were still notchy. It was not as smooth like after the first repairs. Rode it for 2 days and then on second day when i rode 16 km nonstop, the hard gear shifts returned. This time, hard gears were intermittent, but whenever it occurred, still the gear would get stuck and refuse to change. And i had to re-acclerate and try again.
Just to make sure, i rode another week with hard gears. Went to Aerolex this time and reported hard gears. Aerolex refused to take the bike for service, saying that they do not have any service history of the bike. Had a small argument with them. Then, went back to value suzuki. This time, Mr. Shamsheer was available. I left the bike for repairs again. Got the bike the next day. They said they changed clutch bearing and washer. This time gear shifts are very smooth (like first time). So far, it has been a week, and the gear shifts are still very smooth.
Please note, repairs have been carried out 3 times for hard gears. On last 2 occasions, after leaving vehicle for repairs, I reported the hard gears at suzuki feedback website. First time, I dont know what they changed, seems like they changed some small part and only did clutch adjustment and chain adjustment. Second time, they said they changed clutch pressure plates. Third time, they said they changed clutch bearing and washer. Anyway, gear shifts are smooth now.
Firstly, suzuki sold me a bike with defective clutch, resulting in hard gear shifts.
Second, suzuki dealer Aryan suzuki, refused to acknowledge the hard gear shifts problem on multiple occasions, and just asked me to ride as is.
Third, the problem got worse, but still suzuki service did not do anything during regular service. They only did waterwash and oil change during regular service.
Fourthly, on my repeated complaints, when they acknowledged the problem, they did repairs in installments.
Finally, it took 8 months and 4 services, plus 3 repairs for suzuki to acknowledge and rectify hard gear shifts problem. During this time, i have rode more than 4200 km with hard gear shifts. Hope this gear problem has not damaged any other parts.
Big thanks to Mr. Shamsheer. If not for people like him, suzuki service is really bad. But the positive thing is at least they have all parts in stock, parts are replaced under warranty, and the head office responds :-) And now, finally i am really enjoying riding the gs150r.

. However, recent discussions with more experienced riders that i have come into contact with yielded different reasons. They mentioned something called an Air gap which forms in the fuel tank due to Fuel getting consumed faster and air replacing the area in the tank.
