And that's how it's said "Apna Suzuki Apna Way of Life!!!"

1st year free service! does that mean rest all are paid service?
Thats just a gimmick I beleive, now we get 7 free and 8 paid services in 2 yrs, all staggered.

Maybe they are changing it to all free service in first year and all paid service in second year.

    I am guessing.

You will hear a sound similar to the opening of a soda bottle. Once you hear that sound you can tight it back to its previous position (If the oring and threads of the bolt are very dry, applying a small amount of fork oil will prevent it from damage during re tightening.)If you hear that sound i am 80% sure your suspension is going to be softer.
If it didn't work out another thing you could do is refilling the fork with the most accurate amount of fork oil. If the fork oil is not accurately filled, the forks dips down or becomes harder depending on how much less or more oil you filled.
Thanks. Will try and update results in this forum.

        Hi xBHP Fellow Friends,

Need help from SUZUKI GS 150 current or past owners.

My Bike is alright and going on well for the past 4 yrs and I'm damn happy customer of GS 150R. fit and finish quality is top notch, Bike is still pretty strong with no loose parts or niggling sounds at all , all well going on except Battery.

My GS 150R EXIDE battery is totally gone to dust after 4 yrs of service and now it's for proper replacement.

If any one had experience with GS150R battery replacement and or can suggest better battery preferably BOSCH kind top one would be better, but I believe BOSCH is not producing Bike batteries yet.
Thanks for your time and I look forward for expert opinions.

          Hi All,
This is my first post at XBHP. My name is Arnav. I came across this thread during my search for buying new 150CC bike. And Suzuki GS150R was on the top on my selected list .
I have just booked GS150R and insisted on 2014 manufacturing bike. Therefor waiting for 10-15 days. My question to you is , i booked bike on Friday after reduction of excise duty. On road price on suzuki official website was 75800 on Friday. The dealer did not agreed to give bike in same price of 75800, he added 500 more as agent charges against RTO registration & was not ready to provide any discount. Can any one let me know the actual on road price ?

I'm not sure about the actual prices as of now. Price list seems to be reverted on the site, not to mention competitors are reducing prices on most of their models.

As for the AgentCharges, you can register it yourself on the scheduled date. There are other service charges like affidavit for address proof if required etc. You might want to wait a while or contact

Did you note the price of that energizer? It's way too expensive for the benefits it claims to offer.

First of all, if you are planning to dismantle the shock absorber be very careful. Otherwise, you will damage it.
The size of the head of the tool is 14mm. You either use a Hex. Bit socket along with few 10 inch rods and a T-handle or you should make it with a 24 inch steel rod and 14mm nuts (as shown in the picture).

I contacted on suzuki website , i think prices are reverted back to old one. But in economic times i read news saying Suzuki motorcycles has passed on all 4% benefit to cusomers. Don't understand why they reverted back prices online. Hope it limited to online only & no price increase again...

                      Hi all,

Did someone has checked effect of 06th Gear on engine speed i.e. RPM. I mean is there significant difference in RPM of engine of GS & other 150cc bike going on same speed ? Just for example RPM of GS at 60KMH is 4100 with 6th gear & at the same same speed what is RPM of trigger, uni or pulsar in 5th gear ?

Hero Hunk does 60km/h at just below 5k RPM. Same should be the case of Hero Xtreme.

PS: There was an article on xBHP about gear-ratios & speed, could someone point it out? There was a separate section for it as I remember.

I recommend adding respective bike information to Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator
Respective owners of the bikes can check required information from owners manual and bike specification
                              It needs

                              1. Primary Drive ratio
                              2. Rear Tyre spec
                              3. M.P Rpm
                              4. Final Drive Ratio (reduction)
                              5. Gear Ratio

All these can be found in owners Manual, So one can check speed @ rpm and other gear tweaking

As i read in threads that we can drive GS in 6th gear even at speed of 35 kmph. So wanted to check if there is significant diff. in gear ratio of 5th & 6th gear.
( I read that gear ration of 2013 / 14 model has been changed but no official information found on gear ratio of new model )
