I'm not sure what components they considered to come up with that total. Get the list of parts they considered & write to Suzuki-India(Contact Us | Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd.) to get a confirmation using "Spares price related queries". Nearly ₹ 600/- in question here.

I give it to you as I got it, but share it.

Hi fellows, I met with an accident for the first time in my GS I fell down to the road luckily not much damage happened to me or GS .

it was just after silkboard signal , i was accelerating from neutral and i was at almost 40-50 kmph and in 5th gear when a TVS XL moped took left to enter the service road without any indicator or hand signal. I had to apply sudden brake (both front and rear) and the bike skidded . my bikes front wheel just hit the mopeds rear wheel but nothing happened to him or to his moped. i lost control of the bike as it was skidding and at last, me along with the bike fell to the right side. but the speed was almost zero when i fell down , so the damage happened to the bike is very low. ( in a way i can say i fell down after stopping the bike but the bike had leant to the right side, so i couldnt handle the weight with both my foots still on the bike) I was lucky that no other vehicle was right behind me. otherwise , it would have hit me straight away.

Around Rs. 1400/- for the reflector as a unit with headlight and indicator bulbs. It does not include the cowl.

This will increase the effective length of final-lever on the gear-shifter.
          So,
          1. Increasing lever by 33% decreases force required by 25%.
          2. Catch is, since lever length is increased, higher/larger rotation is required to shift gear. i.e. roughly 133% of rotation.

Effectively, short tighter(toe-unfriendly) gear-shifts will become long softer (toe-friendly) gear shifts.

          Any comments?

Also, I dislike free-play on the lever that has developed over usage, will figure something out. Perhaps a metal sheet & tin-cutter for sleeves?

How do you feel now? It's often after several hours inner injuries swell up.

                2. Value Suzuki, Yelahanka, BLR

                4. 9-Star Suzuki, near E-City, BLR

                That particular Oil-Filter, I don't remember.

It's negligence on my part however, I like it. Front wheel bearings are in excellent condition(the finger test), cleaned dirt covers& applied Li-Grease. I've to check
the rear wheel bearings, coz I don't remember which one was off! perhaps sprocket drum bearing. I recently found out DID is not Diamond; the chain-sprocket set I
bought from "9-Star Suzuki" SVC was DID make. I'm already hating it post this discovery. Also, I dislike free-play on the lever that has developed over usage, will

I thought SEP is Honda's ECO Tech.

I was not suggesting negligence, there is little we can do to prevent that. I thought the wasp prefers camouflage - I thought they build nests on orangish/brown bases, was wrong. But who needs a camouflage when one can hide the house inside a hole? Wasps are known to build nests inside pivot tubes of airliners too (learnt that from Air Crash Investigaton)!

My chain is stock and is DID - loosens crazily.

My gear linkage has this play too. The play is actually "sideways" in the linkage - won't fixing an extra washer solve that? I see that you have already changed the angle of the gear shifter (slightly upwards, to enable easier toe-shifts?).

Your GS looks wonderful - this colour was soon discontinued when I bought mine in end-2012.

What did you use to remove the dust seals of front bearings?

Good to know nothing major happened to you. TVS XLs are major irritants on the road - Most of these moped-driving-uncles accelerate mad till 45 kph and then stay bang on the center of the road without giving way. Damages are not much (of what I can make out of those photos) - change the whole headlight unit only if you need to.

We can't call them mechanical, can we.
                    - MF battery - will be a pragmatic move
                    - open chain cover - I vote against it; I think they'll retain the cover

I once removed the lever when increasing leverage was hot topic in this thread. Thought I replaced to default setting, it looks so.

I checked with a couple of service centres and they said that the noise is normal. I even escalated the issue to Suzuki and received a call from one of their executives asking me to bring the bike to ABT svc centre (Nandanam). Even their chief mechanic test rode my bike and said that it is normal. Since then I have started ignoring the noise though it is still very much present. After all, the bike still runs smooth at high speeds and gives a good mileage of above 55kmpl. So, I do not want to make a big issue with the noise rather enjoy my ride .
My ride is due for 2nd svc. I will try the svc centre in Padi next week and confirm the nature of the sound then.

I think it is due to the nest inside the exhaust pipe. Clean it and see if the problem is resolved, before fiddling with the carburetor.

I changed spark plug cap/adapter twice due to spark leak. The original cap was leaking after 300-400 KM or so. So i went to a local electrician and changed it to FZ's. After 8000 KM or so, that too started leaking and currently i am using stock GS150R spark plug adapter.

Padmini PAIR System is for supplying pulsating air to exhaust gases to burn out remaining fuel(HC); i.e again to comply with emission norms, no power gained only fuel lost.

Crankcase ventilation ought to be in the back. Will check & update.

So, stock is better in most cases.

DID and Diamond are chain manufactures like ROLON. Chain Sprocket set contains chain, both front and rear sprockets; as you know.

How do you find out plug-cap is leaking? Open throttle in neutral under pitch darkness and look for sparks?
