other than that the bike looks same.......ya also except the white color....

    Scoop: 2012 Suzuki GS150R

Guys all your comments are required on this....this has been the hottest topic for some time on this forum.....so here it is i suppose....
But the other GS bikes by its side look similar to 2010 version...........maybe it is a limited edition.........

Thats nice........an updated design for the GS150R.......but only this took Suzuki to clear stocks and then resupply ???? The changes are soft like the transition from 2009 model to 2010.

1.I can see a new fairing unit design.
    2.No clip-on handlebars.
3.Tasty white Hayabusa like color scheme !!!!!
    4.Updated graphics.

And thats all.............everything is same as usual, no new fuel tank design, similar heavy weight and similar standard performance expected.

But I love the white color.......might go for that colored panels tank and fairing for my Bike.New black and white combination would look smashing !!!!

But I would still like to check it in a showroom to see how it really looks with slight changes.

GS is a smart bike overall, for me it just needed a slightly sportier stance. The white looks good, let's see!

EDIT: @Mach50, the GS on the left of the white GS is the new one as well. If you look closely, it has a new front visor design. But the GS on the right of the white GS is the old one where the old front visor is easily noticeable.

This is copied from the posting of Deepak.

"Now this rumor comes to an end with the SPY SHOTS posted by GS150R Facebook community. The 2012 GS150R IS EXPECTED TO BE LAUNCHED AROUND THE LAST QUARTER OF 2011. If you know more about 2012 GS150R, share it with us!"

He, Deepak, who posted the pictures says that it is expected to be launched in the last months of 2011, but the bike in the picture is registered somewhere in India. How is it? Can a bike be registered in any RTO before buying it?

              • WHITE is the best for this beast

It is already known that Suzuki is just making a cosmetic upgrade to GS.. (just like FZ in Yamaha)..

                My Observations..
                Altered Graphic labels
Added white color to the existing color options..
Visor design is little modified ( Why did they do that ?? )

Sadly, No change in aerodynamic designs and Performance.

My hunch is if white is in demand, Price may be high for that colour alone..(Like Yellow color in Apache)

                My Opinion :
Good for now. But,This bike won't stand a chance after 2012 with the same design and specifications..

What a predicament. The new features though looking good individually, I cant say it fits the product. The existing design is classy, this new stuff is out of character. Looks like a frankenstein bike now. But good thing that they removed the chrome bits from the sides.

If well maintained and well handled, GS will give good mileage of around 65 kml or more precisely, 62-68 kml.
                        Respected sir,
Im riding a GS since 8 months now and the mileage that you and many others claim is a dream for me. You see, no matter how hard I try, I cannot achieve such figures.

Very recently, I had my bike can-tested for mileage. Under uncle mode driving, i get around 50 kmpl....if a bit careless, I get around 40 kmpl. I didnt test for insane driving. But the point is, even under my best driving efforts (which include anticipating the flow of traffic, resisting the urge to overtake unnecessarily, keeping speeds under 50 kmph, shifting as early as possible but using the appropriate gears etc), ................and I maintain my bike upto good standards............, Im only getting around 50 kmpl or so under city driving conditions.

Hence, I humbly request your kind and most efficientness to upload a video of a can test on your faithful steed under your usual riding so that I and perhaps others may avail an opportunity to learn a thing or two and add many more kilometers to our mileage.

                        Thanking you,
                        Yours sincerely,
                        ram.

P.S. This request extends to Mach_50 too. I was always amazed that though he claimed to ride like the devil, the devil apparently favoured his riding well enough to grant him a good 50kmpl in urban climes. So, please sir, chosen of the devil, do oblige us and post a video of a can test on your bike under your blitzkrieg-est riding so we can see and be amazed at the prowess of the GS whose powers we are apparently unable to fathom.

                          Most respected Sir,

Sub:- Mileage – Mileage of GS150R – my claim – posting a video – reg.

Ref:- Your request No. Nil dated 27/6/2011.

I too have thought about posting a video here but was hesitating to do it due to some personal reasons which I do not like to disclose now.

However, I shall try to post a video after a few days but it is not a promise. Please be kind enough to wait.

Even i observed certain things like,

Both white n blue GSs are covered with cardboards, plastics n packing materials just like like new bikes in showrooms. Test bikes never have LOGOS, or names.
This updated version of GS has been already launched in some states. it will be available countrywide in a month or two.
In my opinion old visor still looks good. but those scoops on either side of headlight look cool...wonder if they serve any purpose
White color looks smashing..specially with those red grafix
I hope they have made this bike run on full DC set-up. This will help people like me to replace wiring of current GS with newer one and fit better headlight.

I wonder how people get 55kmpl to 60kmpl

I am confused with this mileage as my bro's Apache RTR160 gives 45kmpl with rough riding. i expect better figures from GS as it is slower than Apache and also has an overdrive which should translate into better efficiency.

Maestro..if you remember i had posted about my bike's mileage couple of months back n u said at 80 n 90 kmph i'll get 40-43 mileage, now...i tried riding like an efficiency conscious rider n still get 43kmpl max.
