I ride my friend's GS since he has been out of the country. The odo reading is currently 36000+. This is the old model of GS. I was waiting for the refreshed models to be launched and I plan to buy it soon.

Is the effectiveness of the rear break improveded?

was expecting a disk on rear,a big let down.

All new gs owners congrats for the gs ownership.Enjoy the ride on new beast.

I have rode it yesterday itself. The pickup has increased and the sound is smoother. The riding comfort, one of the plus points of our bike, remains the same. The problem of the infamous roaring sound at high rpm is almost rectified. But these problems which were due to some minor design flows were rectified in the last batches of our bike.

About 70-75% of the braking is by front brake. The rear brake is just to control and keep up the stability of the bike. See how the rear drum/disk brakes are designed. A more biting rear brake means fatal skidding. The truth is that those who complain about the rear brake are not using the brakes effectively. I mean, some are still using the rear brake alone.

But a rear disc brake, at least as an option, was a good suggestion. All of us were expecting that.

It is needless to tell you anything about GS as you are already using it but see posting No. 13608 of SriKi.GSpian. Buying GS is buying the best 150cc bike here. I am sure that you will never repent about it if you maintain it properly and don’t modify the factory settings unnecessarily.

        • hey guys i got acid spillage from the battery going to replace all the stuff under warranty or if required insurance.

          Also 3rd service tomm, @ 3450kms
thanx to mazaid he has helped me a lot today , it was his idea.
guys if u have no drainage from mouth of tank of gs just check if the outlet pipe is not bent or pressed beneath the tank bcoz these idiots do these things sometimes & then keep checking for unnecessary things trying to increase your costs.

Mazaid said there is no water in carb & tank he feels does not but i have really seen water going in the tank because of the above said choke up.
& so i suspect water in carb & tank what should i do guys to get rid of these cleaning carb & tank is an option but do the guys really do it.

Also the carb should not be played with for better mileage i have known that so please tell me what to do. or should i wait till i have a problem ?

will change to pulsar spark cap as it does not give leaks, i saw it on mazaid bike. my one still gives smaller spark leaks . conclusion : GS spark plug cap is faulty.

my Gs is getting very rough & gear shifts are very hard lets see what i can do in service?

once I get my hands on my own bike, I will try some mods on this bike like DC conversion and reflector changes. Will ask for help when i'm ready to do it.

It is difficult to claim insurance unless you prove that the spillage was due to an accident.

You are most welcome. I have ridden the bike for about 100 kms in night yesterday as the last checking of the results of DC conversion. Previous to it, my riding was in daylight with switched on headlight.
I am completely satisfied with the result, especially as my ridings in daylight are very few nowadays.

                          Am I right?

Why doubt? My 1.25 lakh kms old Suzuki Fiero was stolen by some scoundrel friends. This and the ‘extremely polite’ behavior of the 3 wheeler friends caused buying new bike. Since I have used Suzuki bike for more than 10 years and 1.25 lakh kms without any issues, decided to buy another Suzuki bike.

Another speciality is that it is the day between 26th and 28th. My dear friend, I am a Satanist (one who worship Lucifer, the Satan) and another peculiarity is that I am always trying to be with the common man in our society.

Anyway, thanks for doing the calculations.

In eco mode will u able to do top speed as in power or normal mode..
Hey, sorry i didnt see your previous reply,
Anyway, ya the top speed and acceleration remains same in all modes, only thing in eco mode you'll have that blinking of LED and it'll stay on continuously after 6.5k rpm and you might feel like not accelerating so hard.
Apart from that its the same.

I think every part including the headlight assembly and forks of the new bike are suitable for the old ones; but not absolutely sure about it.

Ok, thanks for the pictures. I wasnt planning on changing any of the cosmetic parts of the bike. I just thought it might be nice to add the new engine technology (if any) to our bike, the smoothness and better pickup might just be because its tuned well or because its brand new and not yet run in.
