It should fit in. Don't replace it if the old gasket is not torn/damaged (but SOP is to replace everytime the rotor is cleaned). Even if I buy a genuine spare, I try to do a visual comparison of old vs. new. Try to photograph the strainer and insides of rotor filter while you are at it ! Cheers.

That's what I am going to do. I have seen a video on YouTube where a CBZ centrifugal filter was cleaned but the gasket was not changed as it seemed to be fine.

I don't know why people hate this bike. It's awsome for its kind if you get to know her.
Agree with you... there are many Hornet riders whining about lot of issues. I've been riding the bike since 9 months/10.5K kms.. I'm super happy with the performance. I'm getting about 48.5Kmpl average with 80% stop and go city ride and some stretch where I reach 80+kmph as well.

Basically, I guess people abuse their bike to the core. They Drag race while engine is new. Don't clean the chain and lube it regularly. They don't tighten the chain frequently. Obviously, when you do not take care of your bike, it will fail prematurely. Also, some bad Service center add salt to their wound. This ends up with lot of dissatisfied riders.

Honda should periodically conduct awareness campaign as well as train all the service technicians frequently so that they are skilled enough to fix any issue. Also, they should be able to let rider know on how to take care of their bike.

Also can you check this YouTube video where this chap installs rtr 160 twin spark head plug in hornet...
          Would it cause any problems...?

I tired doing the same Mod, But no difference noticed so far as the twin head Spark plug is more efficient but the distance between Head and Actual node is very less and doesn't helps for combustion... Now planning to change it with Iridium Spark Plug, Heard a lot of good stuff about it.

Can't we get Honda throttle oil separately and change the oil? The SVC I asked is asking to give the bike for service to do so.

Has any one got the throttle oil in chennai separately?

They are supposed to sell it over-the-counter if the customer asks. Try Popular Auto Parts/Popular Honda in Mount Road (Auth Distributor for HMSI).

How can we guess, your bill will mention a part number -> one can find out from that. Your odo is a bit less for any bearing replacement but it happens, for eg, a heavy jolt to the front suspension like taking a surprise pothole at high speed can damage the front wheel bearing (s).

Today I cleaned the strainer and centrifugal filter of my Hornet. Clutch cover gasket and filter gasket were not changed as those were in good shape\condition. ASC mechanics at Guwahati were advising me that cleaning was no uht needed. Finally Yamalube Sporty Premium Fully Synthetic oil filled in.
Fine paste of metal particles found inside centrifugal filter rotor.
No leakage of engine oil found till now.
                          Drain plug gasket replaced.

One screw of the centrifugal filter was almost impossible to open. Had to think of purchasing impact driver. But perseverance paid off and able to unscrew.
