If 3.27 litres is indicated by petrol pump machine then never trust them. It's india and corruption happens everywhere. The actual amount of fuel in your machine will be less than displayed...Last edited by Pulsaroid; 04-03-2016, 12:25 AM.

So... what could be the average amount of fuel filled when i pay for 1 litre?Originally posted by Pulsaroid View PostIf 3.27 litres is indicated by petrol pump machine then never trust them. I have also noticed it, the fuel meter is not accurate, it blinks early for reserve. Drive for a km or so it will go away, comes back again when vehicle stops.Originally posted by hisham2k9 View Posthmm.. okay. I will try that, and will update here.
For your testing process go till the engine stops or knocks for reserve. In this way it will be reserve to reserve and will be accurate.
Tomorrow I will post two photos along with time shown in display, the first shows 1 bar and the second shows 2 bars after some km of riding.

The last bar starts blinking when only ~ 0.7 litres are left in Main or you could possibly go another 30-40 km after blinking till the engine starves.Originally posted by hisham2k9 View PostHey guys, got one doubt! in the fuel meter, is it already in the reserve when the last bar starts blinking? or is it in reserve only when we turn the fuel knob to reserve?
If you continue to observe the fuel gauge, you may notice the fluctuation. The fluctuation is due to the fuel slosh within the tank. Within the tank there is a float clubbed with rheostat which sends the electric signal depending on the floats position. In addition to this to account the fuel slosh, there will be a correction factor processed with some algorithm. Still you cannot completely avoid. The accuracy depends on the algorithm and some sensing components within this package.
If this correction do not exist, there will be continuous fluctuation of fuel level indicators due to fuel slosh (slosh happens at braking , accelerating or because of the road un-evenness). In car the above principle applies & assuming the similar in bikes also
. Hope this helps.

Yeah, there is some fluctuations for few seconds when we keep the bike straight from side stand. After that it says accurate reading.Originally posted by wdrwilfred View PostThe last bar starts blinking when only ~ 0.7 litres are left in Main or you could possibly go another 30-40 km after blinking till the engine starves.

The fuel guage is blinkijg constantly. Maybe it is something to do with the petrol bunk from which I filled. I don't think there is something to do with the bike here...Originally posted by hisham2k9 View Posthmm.. okay. I will try that, and will update here.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello guys,
After a lot of 'research', I've decided to go for Hornet.
It is priced at Rs. 87430 in my city.(Std version, On-Road)
Do you guys know the exact price of the accessories and extended warranty ?
I don't want to get cheated by the dealer.
And one more thing, is pillion seat really uncomfortable for ladies (with saree clad)?
If yes, then what is the solution for that ?
Be happy and a reason will come along !

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hello everyone,
My bike was parked for around 20-25 days.
When i start today, it starts with some effort using choke, but engine is stopping/shutting down regularly even after driving around 20kms.
When bike is neutral and i start engine, without accelerating engine shuts down.
Please suggest the solution for this problem.

Keep idling bike for 3 to 5 mins,it will most probably solve the problem.Originally posted by Vikas Duhan View PostHello everyone,

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
You may try to open the fuel tank cap to check if air has got stucked, i used to have similar issue with my previous bike when it was parked outside while raining or after pressure wash. Also, check if sufficient fuel there it may have evaporated with the hot summer days temperature.Originally posted by Vikas Duhan View PostI have already done this, as i was hoping this will solve the issue as engine warms up.
but still getting same issue.
Was your bike parked in non-covered parking? If so check if justs have got accumulated in air filter, if the previous methods does not solves the problem else visit a local workshop.
