I am getting that noise along with very prominent deceleration.

I'm getting that same noise after deceleration on my Unicorn. It started after the first service along with a host of other problems. Most of the other problems were fixed, it's only this sound. Other unicorns and a hornet which I rode didn't have this sound (all after the first service).

              This is called engine breaking.

It also happens on my bike sometimes. But it happens after riding for 15 mins in stop go traffic with 10-20 kmph average speed.

Ride the bike on open highway and see if the problem persists. This occurs only when the engine gets very hot.

I have not faced this issue yet. But I get a tik tik sound after stopping engine, it comes from engine area and goes away after some time.

That sound is common for all bikes buddy. Its the metal contracting after expanding due to heat. Nothing to worry about this..

Today, i went to take test ride for Hornet. I liked the ride quality. I am still a learner ( i just learnt to drive bikes 2 year ago) and this my first bike. I was very comfortable with Gixxer mostly because of the Gear indicator. Even though it is missing in Hornet, i feel i used to it.
The sales guy does not even know about his own bike. He was literally betting against CBS version of Hornet.. :O. He was saying it comes only with Dual brakes.. .

So, as i was returning, i saw Yamaha showroom and i took test ride of FZS-FI 2016. The bike was good and it was costing me less compared to Hornet. The sales guy was totally biased with Yamaha. So there is no point in asking him.

So, Guys can you please point the pros n cons of Hornet over FZS-FI. I am little confused as i thought i am getting FI version of engine instead of Carburated engine.

Please help me to decide here. Thanks.

Both fz and hornet are good in their own way.fz may be a bit more fuel efficient but hornet is the winner when it comes to braking efficiency. Looks are subjective hence wouldn't comment on it.hornet will be much better if you travel at high speeds but fz is more flickable and also very light.fi in fz is an advantage as it gives crisper throttle response .
After sales experience is dependent on the service center. When I went for test rides of different bikes I found Suzuki and hero's experience to be much better .bajaj and Yamaha didn't even give test ride and never called me back.you may also consider Suzuki gixxer ,it is an excellent bike with a couple of shortcomings .

It happens when the engine gets hot .this is mostly due to engine oil as the stock oil is not good for summer.did you get the oil changed at service center? Did they changed it easily or you had to argue with them?
