You have installed the steel leg guard in your bike, the black ones look better as per me.

Please share your testing method with us, it needed to be reserve to reserve or tank full to tank full till auto cut off (not recommended).Originally posted by sathya86online View PostHi folks,
I've been having a gut feeling that my mileage is low though I hadn't had a proper reserve-to-reserve check until recently. I had this test for 3 ltrs a week back. And my mileage is barely above 30.
Way off from the general response I've been seeing here.
I've been barely touching 65kmph until first service, with a average speed of around 50kmph. I mentioned my concern to the service guy. His response was that they don't touch the engine till 3000kms. I've had a few instances where I've touched a max of 70kmpl post first service. I'm be refueling at only Shell so far.
Thanks guys.
Riding speed is in good FE range, make sure you are riding at ride gear and not with holding clutch or brake and you are not riding in heavy traffic.Last edited by Satyajit Mohanta; 05-01-2016, 09:37 PM.

How come hornet beating unicorn 160 by huge numbers, since hornet is premium over uni 160.
I thought may be the sales numbers are interchanged.
Hornet was launched in dec 2015 i think. Owners can clear/correct me if i am wrong.
If it is launched in dec how come there are sales in nov for hornet but zero/NA sales for uni 160 for that month.

Planning to do a handlebar mod in my bikeOriginally posted by Shashank K R View PostMaybe upwards of 500-1000. May I know why?
Also I've noticed that the FZ's handlebar is similar to the Hornet's. Compared to the Hornet handlebar the FZ's will be cheaper.

Correct. He's trying a single piece bar on the 200NS. Eagerly waiting to see how it looks.
Zeit today I saw a Dazzler with a kill switch. Couldn't talk to the rider as the signal turned green. Might be a simple electrical mod (but voids warranty).

Honda CB Hornet 160R Long Term Review - Initial Report
Sorry to sound like noob.. what they are saying, that it will not have good pickup?Code:There is completely no juice at the low end and mid range. Couple this with the heavy weight, Hornet is a pain to drive in the city. I don't know, throughout my stint with the bike, I kept the rpm needle above 4000 rpm
And also there is complain in the same site that it is not that suitable for city ride as it is not flickable. Is this true.
Thanks for your time.
Cheers!!

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
I took a test ride just to compare with my Unicorn 160. Felt slightly bigger and the low end power was lesser than the Unicorn, but still good. Was nicely flickable. Quite comfortable too, but I don't like the rearset footpegs. And "sportiness" is not my cup of tea. It's the reason why I chose Unicorn and not the gixxer or Hornet.
Coming to the heavy weight, the more you ride, you get used to it.Last edited by Shashank K R; 05-02-2016, 03:12 PM.

At low end it has low pickup but still comparable to fz v1 .if you want good pickup you should shift at 4.5 k rpm .Originally posted by mac4rfree View PostI was going through this. I found this.

But the bike is extremely good for city traffic and is flickable.it only feels less flickable when compared to fz .
These are my views and others views may differ.

Re: Honda CB Hornet 160R Owners Experiences
Hi everyone, return with some quaries n facts that i noticed regarding my bike. I told previously that post 1st service experience was just awesome in respect of gear shifting and FE. But what I've noticed that after 60-65k/hr i feel a vibration in the handle bar and it persists till 95k/hr which i clocked highest. Is it same with others? Many in this forum have clocked this speed and more many times. What's their experience? Is their any unusual sound n vibration noticed from the engine? Please share your experience n knowledge in this matter. Thanks in advance.
