This is the first time I'm hearing Honda mechanics using Hero oils for Honda vehicles. As for Honda oils, they use 10w30 oil which comes in two different flavours :

₹280-310 mineral oil which comes in silver bottle

Honda Throttle fully synthetic which comes in black bottle. Recommended for CBR 150, 250, 650.

      He said local mechanic.
If one does not want to use the oil from the svc, a safe bet would be oils(mineral/fs/synth) from reputed brands like shell and motul (well, those are my personal favorites)

Oops. If Hero oils and Honda oils are made by Tide, then what is the difference between them except sticker? [emoji53]

If you want a correct answer, try and get hold of the datasheets of those oils and maybe also perform oil analysis tests
At-least for certain oils from brands such as shell, motul you can get hold of their datasheets.

                  • Rear disc break issue

                    Hi all
I got my rear disc break pad replaced and after replacement I am hearing a strange rubbing or scratching noise while applying break.
I took the bike o the service station day 2 after replacement, they simply said me it is due to polish applied on the disc plate.
After 4 days still the noise was present, went again to SVC.
They just washed the rear disc assembly and then asked to test drive, shockingly the noise stopped.
After driving the bike for 10 mins same noise started again.
It is a week now still the noise comes always when applying brakes.
And some times it is too loud.
                    Bike model : hornet 160 R

                      Hi All,
Just got a delivery of my Hornet. I'm seeing that the idle rpm is going up to 3000-4000rpm and it's making a hell lot of noise!
When I asked the guy during inspection, he told it's normal in run in period. The noise was less initially. I just drove about 12km and the noise has increased 5 fold.

What do I do? Please help!

Congrats buddy. Adjust the idle RPM to 1200 so it won't make noise.
You can find that on right side just below the fairing.
                        Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Check the choke of the bike I think that is not pushed back to its idle position.
Because during delivery they insist to drive with choke for 5 mins
