The smoothness and refinement after using shell advanced ultra is just WOW. And for better usage of fuel, try fueling extra premium petrols available at Indian oil petrol stations. You will see how well these combination keeps you. A shell on the engine and xtra premium petrol. Give it a shot.

i have done around 2000 kms on my domi, done 1st service at 600 km and the second service is recommended at 5000km according owner's manual which i think is a very long interval. please suggest me should i change the oil around 2500 km and service the bike? or just do a oil top up as per the owner's manual? also i am considering to opt for motul 300v however it comes in 15w50 grade as far as i am aware, is it safe? or should i just go for motul 10w50 7100 fully synthetic? if anyone have used motul 7100 please share your experience.
Change oil at 5000 kms only and Bajaj dtsi 10w50 which is made by total is a good enough oil. Still if you want you can try motul or shell but i doubt that shell is available in 10w50.

Just finished the first service for the domi today
I asked him to update the ECU and he told me to come tomorrow morning for the ECU update

and I'm getting fumes and a burnt smell from the petrol tank opening gaps if I make the bike stand straight after 10 mins of riding
can anyone help me out with this?

                        hello everyone,

i recently checked mileage for my dom 400 by full tank test method and it is around 24 kmpl with 99 percent city riding in moderate traffic. i think its relatively low comparing to the mileage everyone else has posted in this thread, has anyone faced the same issue with mileage, please share your experience.

That's the normal mileage I get with 90% city riding. It varies from 23-27 every time. Frankly after buying this bike, I'm not interested in mileage as that was not the criteria considered for buying.

Don't worry in new bike rubber seals take times to settle and gives burning smell. Or it can only be residue of old Drained oil at the bottom or the excess chain lube.
I got the new update 116 it is good basically it is to remove missing and lag. Lower gear jerks are also less now and power delivery is more linear and engine breaking is better than before.

Hey guys i noticed something during my first service. During the oil change the Mechanic opened the oil filter, another mesh filter on the LHS and the drain plug. However the mesh drain plug witch is obstructed by the silencer he just loosened it all the way out let a few ml of oil to drip out and tightened it back.( Without removing the entire exhaust system or cleaning the strainner) do you think its fine or was he just being lazy. Did you notice anything similar during your service?

There is no need to remove the exhaust. 3 things needs opening, Oil drain bolt , oil filter and the bottom magnetic or mesh filter. Oil filter needs to be replaced with oil change and the mesh or the magnetic filter is only cleaned. And to open the mesh filter we need to remove the engine cowl nothing else.
Everything is fine but the mechanic should have clean the mesh filter. You can complain this to your sa and do mention it if a feedback call comes.
