Thank you guys. I was little worried. Hope I do get my 1st service soon.
Coming to service, my friends have ns and RS200. From what I heard the service is worst. Neither paid or free service up to the mark. And also the guy having RS paid for air filter for 2 consequent service, but they did not change but charged for it. How to know if they have done it properly.

Coming from Passion Plus , it felt me heavy. But after I used to it it as good as my passion plus in terms of handling. But yes tturning radius is high and you will always feel heavy in parking.

And another query I have is during first service they use bajaj engine oil and from what I have learned it seems that motul 7100 or 300V is best for smooth running. What to do about that? And also for coolant.

I have read against mixing coolants of different colors. The yellow and green are chemically different. I spittle recommend continuing with Bajaj green coolant.
As for engine oil, Motul 7100 10-50 is a good choice. Dominar runs better when engine is hot with either oil Bajaj Total or Motul. Even the gear shifts are slicker. But it's the cold start and a relatively rough feel for first 20 min till warm performance with Bajaj Motul that made me change to 7100.

Guys I am getting sound as if the chain is rubbing to something and its only there when I give it some throttle
It wont be there if I let go the throttle
This sound wasn't there before the first service
I'm facing this issue after the first service

            Can someone help me out?

It will be easier to identify issue while bike is on a paddock stand. There is a plastic spacer / tensioner which can be source of noise.
Lubricate chain and test on paddock at sc.

                Hi abhishek,

                Two things possible here
1st. excessive chain slack so chain touching the guards or frame.
2nd. You can opsen the front sprocket cover and spin the rear wheel will be lot easier if you use a paddock stand or a moto jack , check if the Chuck nut is tight enough and if anything else is touching or grinding there you can fix it by yohrself.

                  few questions

                  1. in first gear bike cannot go effortlessly over 30kmph
2.in first gear you are doing 25kmph then if you leave the throttle you feel the strong engine braking

are these two cases normal ?

First gear works great only for splendor and litre bikes. For everyone else, it's a great tool get you moving.
Engine braking is a gift of high cc engines. With time you seek start appreciating it for the third gear onwards. Till the third gear, learn greater use of clutch to keep motion smooth rather then jerky. HTH.

Dudes, I have done it. Tried premium fuela from Shell, BP and HP. There is no difference. Stick with the shorter line, regular or premium. HP and BP has reduced rates for power so there are mor people lining up to save them from long queues. For us with a 10 litre fill up, it's approx ₹30 diff now.

                      • Tips for budding biker

                        Hey folks,

I recently bought a Dominar (July 22nd). It's my first bike ever (I'm 25!). I've been riding bikes since I was 14 but it was mostly intra city commute.

I bought Dominar because I wanted to take up biking more seriously. I know that I'm not used to the kind of power that it throws, so I've been taking it slow. I went on a short 60 KM ride and on my way back, I noticed that my wrist on throttle, my legs and my butt were pretty strained from being stuck in that position for that long. This is honestly, very embarrassing.

What are some things that I can do to get better at longer rides? I don't get to ride my bike every day as I go to office in a cab and reach home pretty late. Are there any specific workouts for wrists or legs that I can do to train my muscles better?

What are your top 5 tips to get ready for my first 200 KM ride?

                        Thanks,
                        Dominar373

I have completed 2100 kms on my domi had no problems with it ,however recently the right front fork oil seal is damaged and fork oil is leaking, I mean not like it's flowing out or anything but it gets accumulated around the oil seal and then drops. I haven't put stress on the fork at all no hard hits on the bumps potholes or anything, I am yet to take it to service center. I want to know :
will this be included in warranty ?
How did this happen ? I mean I didn't ride rough at all.
Has anyone faced a similar issue ?

Bajaj says that they have filled exess grease in the right shocker and this same problem was face by many owners and in most cases they either cleaned and re fixed the shocker seal or replaced it under warranty.
So don't worry it will be covered under warranty.
Just make sure they don't be to harsh while opening the shocker from the cone set bolt.

One guy from our group requested for the replacement at 15k kms but they svc told him that he can do 20k kms easily.

Congrats on the bike. And normally it takes a week for the body to adapt to a new riding position, but still if you don't feel comfortable u can use handle bar raisers to make the riding position more upright.

Hi. Congrats on the new bike!

From my experience, a few pointers for long rides -
                              1. For the wrist pain, that usually happens from having a tight grip on the bars. You should have a loose, light grip on the bars, keep your arms relaxed (tight muscles will lead to stiffness and soreness at the end of a long day). In city traffic or when braking, you'll need to grip the tank with your knees to keep the relaxed loose grip. The same when taking turns or riding twisties.

                              2. For your legs, keep stretching your legs on long open straights. Shifting your position every now and then helps with the legs and the butt too. Your body will get used to these stresses gradually.

                              3. Stray hydrated. I cannot stress this enough. You will often feel like you can go on for longer distances without water breaks, but you'll feel the aftereffects at the end of the day. Take regular water breaks, and use these to stretch your muscles too.
I would highly recommend a hydration pack (decathlon has cheap ones) if you intend to tour regularly. The idea of sipping water while on the saddle might seem funny, but it's so incredibly helpful for a long day of riding, you'll have to experience it to see the benefits.

                              4. Coming to stretching, I personally make it a point to stretch properly, from head to toe, before starting out on a long ride. Helps a lot

                              5. Get a good night's sleep. Again, cannot stress this enough. Start late if you need to, but get those extra 2 hours of sleep if you need. Better reach late than never at all.

                              6. For exercises, I am not sure. Strong leg, lower back and core muscles help in lifting a dropped bike, in my opinion - I hope you never need to do this!

                              7. For long rides (even short ones for that matter), please gear up. Again, head to toe. The wallet will hurt, but not as much as road rash/scraped skin/broken bones.....you get the idea!!

Above all else, remember to have fun!! Ride safe!

I could recommend a few things. Watch some videos on how to grip the tank with good and knees while sitting so the weight is not on your wrists.
Sitting with straight spine or arching out is not correct.
No matter how much you practice sitting like Rossi, when the stop go traffic, your weight will shift forward on to wrists as you hit the front brakes. Try using both brakes with emphasis on front.
You are 25, so you can also try push ups :-)
Heheh, jokes apart, i put a 25 mm spacer to help with hurting wrists as i use my D as a daily commuter. I got mine from viaterra. I hate having the spacer on twisty roads but love it when in traffic.
