I replaced the sensor, it doesn't seem to do it anymore.
I'll give an update in case something change.
Thanks again for the advice

Reaffirming. Do keep a tab on the engine oil level. Ride safe!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

• Which insurance?

Which insurance is best for Duke 390?

Is Road Side Assistance provided by a insurance company? If so which is the best?

Also what are the benefits of comprehensive and zero depreciation insurance?

Someone said that the 390 2017 variant comes with 3 years insurance is that true? What is the approximate price of 3 year insurance?

It did it again.
After 2 days working fine, the red light for oil pressure showed up when the bike turns off unexpectedly and then turns on again.
In the 2 days it worked fine i made more than 450Km without a problem.

----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

I tested it by using the kill switch.
i turned off the bike using the switch, then when turned it on the light was there.

Hey guys!
Have any of you faced any form of clutch slip while hard acceleration?..i had this issue before & found that the bike's clutch free play was NIL!...the SVC guys adjusted it according to their own comfort while i gave my bike for 1st service & eventually i had premature clutch wear, burnt off my clutch completely during a short ride...ended up paying 5k for the entire clutch assembly😕😑...after that it was alright & i had taken extra care about the freeplay & settings...after about approx 1000kms on the new plate, the issue seems to repeat again!😕..this is observed when i twist the throttle fully & when the bike reaches 7k rpm..after that it sort of revvs a lot & gradually engages back😡.Have reported to SVC..will update

This video explains the EXACT problem i'm facing

This is it...anybody tried hard acceleration till 9k?..have you faced this?☝

All insurance companies are the same man when it comes down to claims (nobody wants to pay you readily), just compare and pick up whatever is cheaper. With a new bike, it's the showroom that will do the insurance for you before delivery (though you can get it done yourself at a lower price.. but the svc will tell you stories that you cannot).
KTM itself sells a road side assistance plan called 'Orange Assist'. Costs around Rs.850 per year.

Comprehensive means it covers both your bike/you and the other party (third party) liability. Only third party insurance covers just the third party liability (cheaper, but doesn't cover your damages). As per law, the minimum required is a third party insurance plan.

Zero dep means you get coverage for damages without much depreciation on parts cost.

Insurance term has nothing to do with the brand of bike. Since a couple of years many insurance companies have started selling 3 yr policies, that might save you some money.

You can do a comparison of insurance costs online from vendors like hdfc, icici or policybazaar.

Free play is almost non-existent on any Duke that you pick from showroom which I've personally observed. One has to adjust the free play and it's IMPERATIVE to do so. IF you feel your clutch is slipping, check your oil grade and oil level. Burning of the clutch "can" be caused when there is low oi. Start off with clutch lever free play, adjust the bite point, it should be midway when one releases the clutch lever, not too high or not too low. Go for a thorough test ride and see if you can feel any difference with how the bike performs, post 7k. Nopes, the bike cleanly and madly pulls all the way till 9500 where the rev limiter usually kicks in. Start off with clutch free play, check your clutch cable condition, a frayed, chafed cable can reduce the clutch feel, especially when disengaging. Keep us posted.

Cheers!

slink21, if you'd recollect my post, I've mentioned the same where the issue persists even after oil sensor replacement, this has been the Achilles' heel on the 2017 390s. Quite a few electrical gremlins that robs the overall joy of the this motorcycle. Unfortunately unless there is a fix, one has to unfortunately live with it. To add to the conundrum, not everyone faces this issue, only a specific bunch of people. But nonetheless which leads me to think, it's purely a calibration issue w.r.t. either the console software or any pressure sensor parameters.

B7ACKTHORN I remember, but even if i saw this yesterday one or 2 times after a long trip when i turned off the bike with kill switch, after a short time it stopped doing it.
If this was a software issue (or a sensor issue) more people should experiencing this.
I'm pretty sure that if someone uses the key to turn off the bike, it will be hard to notice it.

Even I had the engine oil indicator showing up whenever my bike was turned on but not moving. Had shown it to Svc guys as KTM chembur in Mumbai and they said its normal as long as it does not keep glowing when you move for a long period of time.

Is this normal and is it happening to all bikes (390s), to have the light glowing while the bike is not moving?

The svc guys have told me its normal but I have no idea if this is an issue with all bikes.

It's not an issue. It stops once the bike is in motion. In my CBR 250, the ABS light used to be on till bike reached 10 or 20 kmph. Then it would go off. This is similar.

Exactly dealing with insurance companies is a headache.

Anyway I placed the order at Mekhri Circle(Bangalore), they were giving me the option to choose the insurance company on my own. But they had an offer on insurance where, if I paid for 2 year I'll get the third year too, so I went with that one.

The insurance company they provided was New India Assurance which according to my family is a old insurance company but they didn't know about it's authenticity or quality. So I just went with it.
