Thanks a lot man Ok, guess i'am in some real trouble.
Btw, the bike some how should be taken to the SVC right? Don't know how to, because the bike won't start and has to be pushed. Should i first get a Mech from SVC and check it out at the spot where the bike is parked now?

P.S. If it's the one way clutch, approx how much would it cost?

      As you wish!
The one way clutch cost around 3000 bucks, although free under warranty.
Attaching some pics of the one way clutch component taken from FB.

Decided to push the bike till the SVC. It's not that far away. My Bro promised he would lend me a hand. Will post the updates.

Yesterday I rode my friends bike which he had modified from joel. The vibrations have decreased drastically. Though I couldn't test performance level as its run-in period & he was informed to keep within 5k rpm for 500km. Also he has been told not to take doubles during this time as it will put extra pressure on the engines. Once he covers this 500km we are planning to go out and check the performance level. By the way he has not changed the exhaust to FFE. He will do the same in the next budget , which will give him an extra 2bhp o/p .

          • As vineshp and Drifty suggested, the one way clutch was damaged.

SVC covered the cost (1260 INR) under warranty. Warranty expires this 27th. Phew, that was close

They just charged for the Gasket Magneto Cover (M1080320). Total invoice amount 48 INR.

            • Spark Plug

Hey friends my rtr has done 17000 kms in 14months. Am planing to change the stock spark plugs to ngk irridium with splitfire cable. Is it worth installing both and what will be the cost???

NGK Iridium CR7EIX is the one for RTR 180. Cost 550 INR.
Original Split Fire cable costs 700 INR (Difficult to source). 350 INR for Chinese make.

Using the above won't give any noticeable performance gain. The best way to increase engine power output (if you want it) is by using a tuned free flow exhaust as a first step

NGK Iridium is a waste of money IMO. There is no noticeable (and I guess actual) gain in performance. You can buy atleast 4 OEM plugs at the cost of one Iridium.

                  • First timer

                    Hey Guys,
I am posting on this thread first time.
I have Apache RTR 180, Have done 26000 km.

I have question regarding tyres.... I guess TVS tyres is biggest drawback in RTR 180. Had 2 crashes because of those bloody tvs tyres .
This tyres topic must have been discussed on this forum, how can I find these discussion? (there are 980 pages)
I changed my front tyre to MRF Zapper @ 22000 km.; and now I have ordered Pirelli MT71 for rear (after my latest crash ). Is it a good choice?
It nearly took me 4 months to find right size rear tyre for RTR 180
                    All is Well

Yup, stock TVS tyres on my RTR160 are bullshit.
Bike almost skidded (somehow controlled it) and I was going to fall down 4-5 times.

Will have to replace these shitty tyres asap.
Wasn't aware of this BS when I opted for this bike. Feeling fooled.

The MRF Zappers have much better grip than these BS tyres.

                      • On dry tarmac, grip levels are among the best out there.

As recommended by many, progressive application of both the brakes is the way to go. Also, 60-70% braking has to be done using front brake and the rest, rear. Thing is, one has to be cautious while riding on wet surfaces, loose gravel, sand etc.,

Now, i'am pretty satisfied with the stock tyres. Add to that, during these 13000 odd kms, never had a puncture.

                        • Today morning when I took my bike out I saw the pipe bordered red in the picture disconnected. The pipe is connected well on the upper side but it looks cut on the lower end. I couldn't show the exact picture but I the pipe I am referring to is the same as marked in the picture. Can you guys please let me know what is the pipe meant for?

                          • Sometimes excess fuel may enter your carb, that excess fuel can hamper the function of the carb and this pipe drains out the excess fuel... generally its just one drop or something...

Not to worry.. its just the drain pipe of the carb. If you loosen the screw on the top of the highlighted part, the fuel in the carb float bowl will drain out. The lower end will be open and must be kept that way.
