How he checked it,by replacing it?Cause you can only know if its faulty by putting in a spare/new one and riding the bike. This is the last thing you can look for, replace it with a new one and see if you feel any difference. It cost just 120 bucks,so worth trying.
If replacing TPS doesnt help, assuming that the air filter is clean, carb jets clean,TCI replaced,I would suggest you to switch back to stock electrical set up.Also get in touch with Lijo as he too was facing issues somewhat similar to this.I guess he might have found out some way for this, aint Lijo?

Yes, i've gone through that first review before. Guess drop in level is the only con of this oil. Never mind, going to buy a bottle to top up as and when required.
P.S. The third review does not say about this con though.

In this pic, how did Your Friend keep the number plate attached? Did he custom make that part? Also, as Drifty said, some pics with light on!

                • @drifty- bro those are not LED lamps those are Dlaa 55/60 fog lamps colour -rainbow yellow. Those costed me 450 bucks for a pair. This bike is running on dc and one lamp on each beam. Getting the charge boost (diode) mod today on this. The beam spread is good , a lil better than stock. Though the intention here wass to make the bike lightweight . Anwyas will post a pic soon.

@mirhawk- no custom arrangement bro, when u see the mudguard form thhe back side, u will see a lil frame kinda 2 rod thing coming and on which the no.plate is fixed but it id not seen from the front as the mud flap covers it. This is the same 2 rod frame kinda thing which we took out after we had to cut the mudguard and then we made a hole in the mudguard according to the tilt that we wanted with the no plate, fixed it there and voila.

The part in bold-I guess its the Shell's RCE technology you are referring to for max engine protection, right?

This is the reason I am backing off from converting my ride to full DC.

When I was going to get a big bore for my bike I had been using Shell FS. Joel told me not to use FS oil as RTR is sensitive to it and you might experience jerks and gear slipping(something like that) and he was right. And while I was facing those problems I could not figure out the cause of it. Once I changed the oil everything was fine.

True that! Avoid using Fully Synthetic oils in these "desi harsh engines".

                          • After crossing 10K mark on my odo I decided to switch engine oil to FS. Going through the discussions on the forum I was confused a bit but finally thought to give Motul 300V FS oil a try. I can surely say that there are drastic changes in the performance. Gear shifts are much smoother now and the pickup is awesome. I am not sure whether its just because anything other than TVS tru4 is awesome but I am very happy with the new oil change. Total kms clocked after the oil change is around 1700 kms.

Do engine oils have an impact on the mileage as well? After switching the engine oil to 300V I got a mileage of around 48 and 47 for the first and second refill respectively. Earlier the mileage was 40-42. As of now I have clocked around 440 kms after the last full tank refill with five bars still showing on the fuel gauge.

The only issue with the 300V is that its a bit expensive at Rs 900/litre but with the result its giving I am okay with the price.

                              Thanks Bro for the info
For me the only concern is drop in oil level with the Advance Ultra, and that's saying something.

If i could source Motul 5100 4T 10W40 or 300V Factory Line (5/10W40) would go for it next month.

No, engine oil has no effect on mileage or top speed. And the oil surely feels much better, just keep a regular check on the engine oil level to avoid having worst consequences of the non-friendliness of FS <-> RTRs.
