I have done close to 36k kms. I changed my front tyre to mrf zapper but I dont find any difference, moreover it feels too soft( which I dont want ). The tires of RTR 180 are as good as any other tires available in the market.

Abhii I beg to differ here brother. After change of the rear tyre to IRC one, i have felt a lot of change in rear tyre skidding part.
Earlier even on dry tarmac it used to skid a lot on rear braking but now it has been reduced a lot. My riding style is still same or i guess become more agressive and now gives more confidence while using rear brakes with the front one.
Stopping distance at any speed also is been reduced because of the confidence IRC rubber is providing

@all: Guys need a little help.My friends RTR160 back disc is not being applied,i mean the wheel spins on loose even when the back disc brake is applied. We just went to the SVC Tristar at domlur and they checked the brake assembly.Everything seems to be fine. They sprayed some air and advised to drive for some 10-20 Kms and it will be fine. But it still doesnt work out. Any idea what might be wrong. The rear disc oil is full.

But I never faced any prob. I have even used Apache 150 but never faced any prob with the tires on that machine. And never faced any prob with RTR 180. I had 3 accidents and all of them because of human mistake( I think it is very rare that accidents will happen because of machine ). The grip on dry tarmac is fantastic even under hard braking, I dont want to try hard braking on wet surface, no matter what tyre I'm using.
I have also seen Pulsar and Unicorn skidding, and I'm sure they did not had TVS tires.
May be I was lucky to get the good set of tires.

All I was saying is about the probability of skidding is high on rear braking with the stock tyres compared to a soft compound ones.
And as you have mentioned Pulsar and unicorn here, i guess you too know that no tyres in the world of whatsoever compound is skidproof
Rest is individuals choice as he is the one who is gonna do riding part.

Even my last bike Libero had TVS tyres and were no problems in the 5 years I used it. I think TVS tyres are good VFM considering durability(due to hard compound) and Grip levels.Grip. Twist. Ride-with Menacingly FAST Apache 180 ABS!

Electrical
Was cleaning up The Bike when I noticed these wires under the seat. The Red Circle one is for tail light, orange for indicators, and yellow for number plate light. The one I didn't get was the black one. Had disconnected it, but didn't notice anything off. What is it for? Also, does anybody has like a schematic plan of wiring of Our Bike?Apache RTR 180 Bike Parts CatalougeOriginally posted by MirhawkI couldn't repair the Brakes, so I just made the Horn more louder!

Good to know about it.Still the one way clutch assembly cost just 1260 bucks? What all parts were changed?Originally posted by Rtrlover83 View PostAs vineshp and Drifty suggested, the one way clutch was damaged.
SVC covered the cost (1260 INR) under warranty. Warranty expires this 27th. Phew, that was close
They just charged for the Gasket Magneto Cover (M1080320). Total invoice amount 48 INR.
Welcome back Buddy!Ahh..Enough of the IRC's,MRFs and TVS's,wont you post your Suzuki air filter experience here?!Originally posted by flyingJian View PostAbhii I beg to differ here brother. After change of the rear tyre to IRC one, i have felt a lot of change in rear tyre skidding part.

Lets put an end to the tyre controversy thingy guys.No ones forcing you to buy MRF's or Pirelli's or for that matter TVS's
!Every now and then a topic starter asks a few queries about the tyres suitable for his bike and BOOM!The original question is left behind and people start pouring their views about their 'respective' tyres.
I think this is the most controversial topic on the whole thread!
Peace.
Its a bit difficult to understand the above lines, can you please elaborate more on this?Originally posted by mpasanthosh View Post@all: Guys need a little help.My friends RTR160 back disc is not being applied,i mean the wheel spins on loose even when the back disc brake is applied. A few possibilities..
1)The disc pads might not be properly held in the caliper
2)The disc pads might have worn out
3)There might be air in the brake system
Rear disc oil full-you mean the brake fluid reservoir? The fluid level must be be between minimum & maximum for the correct functioning of the rubber diaphragm inside the reservoir.

Same here. Facing same issue (?) on my RTR160 RD.Originally posted by mpasanthosh View Post@all: Guys need a little help.My friends RTR160 back disc is not being applied,i mean the wheel spins on loose even when the back disc brake is applied. I've read everywhere that the biting of the RD is much lesser than the front one. Maybe that's the reason.
Can anyone confirm whether this behavior is normal or there's something I'm missing?Apache RTR 160 RD

Thanks Bro.Originally posted by Drifty View PostGood to know about it.Still the one way clutch assembly cost just 1260 bucks? What all parts were changed?
Yes, that's what i've come to know. I saw this amount on their job card too.
The service spare invoice showed only Gasket Magneto Cover (they said it's the packing) which costed 48 INR.The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.
