And also , the cost of the same..!!

220 shocks are too soft, and so much comfortable than that of RTR.In fact 220 is one of the most comfortable bike I rode. Please don't change it.Although for better handling you can change.

      • If the clock gets reset, can't you get the speedo replaced under warranty? Mine has never got reset in 18 months of ownership.

        • Tuning Problem ?

Hey guys, I think something is wrong with my RTR, because the other day, when I got into a nice stretch of flat road, I tried to take the RTR to it's limit. I reached 100 with almost no fuzz at all. It just whizzed very fast upto something like 105 but past that, it felt like the bike was not accelerating at all.It got till 112 and then the strangest thing happened, the RPM started decreasing, while I was holding the throttle fully open. It went down from 9 to 7 even though the throttle was open I shifted from 4th to 5th @10k rpm, so it couldn't be a problem of inadequate acceleration . And the road was dead flat, with no wind against me. Do you think my bike's tuning is messed up?

And btw, my bike's normal mileaqge is 36 and while ripping, it's something close to 27 . Is that normal?

PS: I have been able to reach 110 with a pillion on my dad's unicorn on the same road :|
When I Ride my bike I don't feel like a common man.
          I feel special.
I feel something which is beyond words.
That is the thing which makes my bike special, me special, the whole ride seem exceptional .

          • Guys....My bike used to show 65kmph@5k rpm but in last week it is showing 64,66,67 like that @ 5k rpm...My idle rpm is 1.2k....and the bike has reached only 6.7k on ODO...
What could be causing this?? I showed the bike to a local mec to check the throttle cable...and he told its fine...Need your suggestions...

            • I am having trouble with kick start.Kicker is touching the rear brake when applied.Do we have to give a little throttle like in case of splendor?Or no throttle like that of bullet?I can't kick start the bike!

              @achu:Mileage seems to be a little low.Check airfilter,spark plug,chain.

              • Hey guys..
I was recently facing a wobble in the front wheel & the wobbles would start if any kind of handle inputs were given.. I took this issue up with TVS SVC..The wobble was fixed in 2 min.. The front fork had become "tight" & it needed to be loosened.. The reason of the fork tightening up was due to humps, bumps & potholes..

Mate anything around 65-68 is fine at 5000RPM. The speed may vary because of the wind or downhill or uphill conditions. Your idle RPM is also fine.

Took to SVC. The SVC guy told that if any water gets inside the console (particularly near the RTC battery), then it gets reset... Thanks for the suggestion..

AFAIK, wind or the inclination does not affect RPM-Speed relation. However, the tyre pressure affects it as it varies the height a bit.

I thought my bike is giving a low mileage! IMHO You should get it checked asap.
BTW, guys, with the hiccups still being persistent I'm on my third leg of mileage calculation. First time it showed 40. Then it showed 31~32. I'm waiting to see the third reading. Then am gonna get it to the SVC as the mech there suggested to check carb conditions after a definitive mileage calculation. I hope it all runs well.

                        • Hi All,

4 days back i bought apache 160. ODO reads 150 kms as of now. Idle RPM of my bike is around 1.1k but after riding for some 10-15 kms the idle RPM reaches to around 2k. Is this normal in a new bike ? If not what should I do ??

                          Thanks

                          • It's normal, not for new but for every other (new or old) bikes, as you ride few km's engine comes to optimum temperature... no worry

                            • Hello mates
what is the top speed that you had attained in optimum conditions
is this possible to clock 140 kmph on rtr 180
mine has 2500 k km on odo and i had done 130kmph on it
Can my bike can do even more IMO i think yes
                              please share your experiences

                              • 130kph is a good top speed for RTR 180 ... yes it can go til 140kp/h on ODO but that need slope & strong wind support & atleast 3-5 km stretch ...

But 130 itself is a good top end...
