  • Guys, how good is the Apache rear shocks, i own a 220 and am considering getting a new pair of shocks, i heard from a friend that the apache shocks are compactable fro the 220, is it a direct fit ? and how would you compare it to the pulsar schoks which are pretty much bad from my experince. And also , the cost of the same..!!

    Cheers

What was he working on as far as you understood... which area on the bike? Did the hiccup just vanish?
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

He just adjusted the accelerator cable and didn't touch the carb, or TPS. He adjusted the rpm needle. The hiccup hasn't vanished, but it's not present as it used to be. I think I'll ask my home SVC to change the TPS module and adjust the rest when going in for second service.

BTW, Rtrlover, what do you think about the rest of the comments that mech told me? Does it make sense?

After servicing, the bike is vibrating like anything at high speeds, and whenever i accelerate from 50-60km/hr in 5th gear there is a noise from the front part or engine.I was not able to find out.I had told the mechanic to adjust the tappets, don't know what he has done
Anyone? Please help me out guys

Around 1800 (one), no idea about the difference, never rode P220 that much

Thats strange that, if he used screwdriver on the left side of the tank, he for sure have touched carb. Coming to oil, tappet noise, hotness.........nothing to believe......honestly

Nope. He didn't use a screwdriver. He adjusted the idle speed.

Then he raised the throttle gradually. I think it has something to do with carb cleaning?

There were no hiccups then. But I think I feel these hiccups again. I'll go back when I've confirmed the mileage. :banghead:

IMO, I find Pulsar shocks are more comfortable and softer(More suitable for touring) than RTRs, which are hard and Race oriented. Hence, I wont recommend for Pulsars. Better change it to monoshock if u can.

                      • Hey! Since Monday my bike's self start isn't working. Every time I press the self start the bike console reboots, with the usual test ( same one that the bike does once the ignition is turned on). On query, a colleague told me that it is the build up of carbon on the self start. Regular servicing of the strategy should fix it. PS - this issue doesn't affect the kick start or any other electricals.

                        Any advise?

                          Get the starter relay checked.

I am consistently getting 42km/ltr (city riding). The max goes up to 47 (often). This i believe is good mileage and the engine is not giving any hiccups.

Keep us posted Bro. It is going to be alright soon
