I think they just do a lil bit of rewinding tasks, I mean to say that ruby doesn't do the way our gurus suggest, like putting up the ape rr and more

Total Cost would be around 2200 (1100 odd for the RR unit and 1000 for rewinding). Had got it done, works flawlessly.
A mechanic who services my Activa told my RTR's head need to be cleaned. It's only 17.5k kms and running fine.Anyone?

If its running fine, whats the need to open the engine head.
Don't open the core engine unless its really required.

You better ask the mechanic why he suggests so and then take it an SVC and cross verify it.

          • WEll bike doesnt wobble now, but whenever front suspension comes in picture I can feel tiktik sound on handle bar, or like handle bar is moving front some irritating feeling.

it happes when I press front brake or bike goes into patholes or speed breaker (all 3 case suspension comes in picture)... What to do ? what might be the issue ?

            • Guys, I am trying to get my rear wheel aligned since a long time.. & yesterday I figured out what the problem actually is.. If I try to align the wheel based on the alignment indicator, then the screw at the end of the swing arm (having the adjuster nuts) have different lengths on both sides! But if I ensure that the same length of the screw is visible on both sides, then the alignment indicator is not same on both sides.

So what is the problem here?? I have a suspicion that the last time I changed my tyre, the repair wala might have put the alignment indicator in reverse on one side which is causing this headache!

Also there was a lot of unevenness in chain slack because of misalignment. Right now, I ensured that the same screw length is visible on both sides which also reduced a lot of chain noise and uneveness.

And when I try to free run the rear wheel, I can notice slight wobbling (by 1-2mm) even after I set the alignment right. Does this mean the tyre is slightly deformed because of misalignment?? Really need some help here.. just want to resolve this thing badly!

Its due to the cone set get them changed. You can take this opportunity to check, clean & grease the steering bearing.

That or a slight bearing problem in the wheel. I can't be too sure. I'm handling some misalignment issues myself. I'll try to get back on some time on this.

I know how much annoying it is
I had the same problem earlier, the SVC sent the fork to lathe shop.
Problem was solved since then, not sure it was coz of the lathe or coz they topped up the oil.

I'm also facing the same wobble..After riding a lot,I noticed that the wobble in the bike is not constant & the wobble start when some steering input is given through the handle or while using front brakes..
How does the wobble start..?? Due to potholes,humps,off-roading or braking into speed breakers?? Is it a problem with the front shock or the cones/bearings..??

I do. Using it since 1 and half yr now. IRC 120/70 spec. Funny thing is, You will never know the visual difference. The rim is small, hence tires would squeeze in, and increase the wheel diameter. A minor drop in pick up, but significant increase in mileage.

Hmm how many KMS have you clocked with 120 ? After I upped rear tire from 100 to 110(RTR 160 come with 100/90) chains & sprockets wore out quickly, may be because of heavier tires. Am still running on them will change back to 100/90 profile this summer. After doing lots of naughty stuff I came to one conclusion Stay stock stay sexy !
