So could You people, specially Prateek and Nisnth, provide Me the details for doing so?
I have already inquired too, My Friend, who does such art works on bike, says that I would require to remove the Rim's for that as He will dip the Rim's in paint. He says that Spray paint will get eventually rubbed of, to which I some what agree. So is it safe to dip the entire Rim in paint?
Also, to add a twist, I have decided to add a hint of glow in the dark color to the Rim paint. But the issue is, I'm unable to get the name for such paint. If someone could mention the name?
Here is an an Video from which I got inspired from for the glow color, Black Eyed Peas- I Got a Feeling

Also, since I'm completing the last free servicing now, any special things I need to get checked of from SVC?

A Throttle Position Sensor is located near the throttle body. What it does is that it detects at what position your throttle is currently and adjusts the ignition as required.

      • @Mirhawk : Get the rim removed from a local tyre shop , and ask him to keep your bike for few hours there . Get the rim to your friend, dipping the rim will leave uneven layers...reason : After dipping you will keep in either ways, some paint will flow from up to down, leaving a trail of paint.
What I have done is covering the tyre with paper and edges sealed with tape and then use spray paint coats (3 times) in an interval of 10minutes for drying up, and then 2 coats of lacquer.
I have no idea about glow paint, you need to ask local paint/hardware shop about that. You can get one spoke painted in Fluorescent green....what say?

Primer helps in sticking the paint better. 2-3 coats of lacquer after the spray paint will give you the shine, but you need to clean it everyday or else it will fade

Thanks Drifty for the reply Could you please post a pic, where the pilot jet is placed?

@Sambit bhai-Took it to Ashirbad TVS.The mechanic said it is due to improper tuning, like more of air and less of petrol, for now it’s fine
BTW, could you please tell me the mechanic's name at Sushil TVS.TIA

aerosol spray can have shine already in their paint.

any one can do it at home itself.
it was my stupidity i didn't covered the tyres . I thought it will be easily removable from tyres but after drying it become very hard to remove even with thiner.

its better to cover tyre with tape or remove tyres.

just buy a aerosol can it comes of rs200 for 400ml.
and remove the tyres . the procedure of remove wheels is their in manual.
and all the necessery tools are in tool kit..

just wrap the disk plate from newspaper and wrap the tyre from the brown tape the wide one..

and remove that pin striped they are made of plastic and will leave a dirty sticky gum on wheel. you have to clean it with help of thinner .other wise paint will not stick on that part.. and use a sandpaper and rub whole wheel lightly so that the new paint sticks nicely on old paint.

then spray keeping can mouth more than 15 cm away from tyres. and spread the paint thru out whole wheel nicely. spray 3 coat in 10 min interval and at last use a finish coats to make wheel shining ... and done . in just 200rs..

here the first coat on my wheel

and the finish is like this.

                  • IMHO the tyres are looking wasted, you should have used masking tape or newspaper to cover the tyres and spare it from the excess spray
These paint stains wontgo from tyres!

No. didnt mean it seriously though. i guess that they would lose grip is an obvious thing, but if painted on sidewalls, any harmful effects?

i too want to get rims painted.

i'm at svc now and mech here says one guy from their svc just came from training on tvs new 220. says will be a carb model and expexted 2 months for launch. will talk to him and confirm.

                              • Apache 220?

sorry for back to back posts guys.

talked to the mech to confirmed he had been trained on a 220 cc engine and improved version of rtr 180. he didnt ride them but said they were much better than our current models.

somethings which i could glean from my short interview -

                                - non FI, air cooled version
                                - some change in wheels (i guess he meant alloy wheel design)
                                - improved gear box design
                                - main shape/design of bike to remain unchanged with stickering differences :-(
                                - 220 version to be launched in two months and to cost more than 1 lakh

this is what i learnt from him and another mech at svc. i understand we at xbhp should not participate in useless speculations/rumours. i am sharing this info just as a piece of semi trustworthy news for fellow tribals.

@ SAIPRANAV - the part you needed is clutch bearing or clutch shaft bearing, i believe. part no 0339060, cost rs 126/-
