If you have used FS oil before 10k KMS then Its not good for the engine .Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostSure I Will ... How about Motul 10w40/20w40? Synthetic ?Leh,Ladakh & Lahaul Ride to Heaven & Back - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...aven-back.html

May be but my belief is Fully Synthethic oil has got no advantage for our 180cc bikes over Semi Synthetic ( except in rare case Pick uP & Proper shifting )...Originally posted by n4speed View PostIf you have used FS oil before 10k KMS then Its not good for the engine .
And using Fully Synthetic right from beginning does no harm to engine now a days I suppose...
I Don't know how I am here, but experts suggestions please ...!!! If I am wrong correct me...

Its important to use mineral oil for at-least 5K km, the engine run-in is not only limited to 1K km, IMO after 1K km people start riding the bike at higher RPM, at that time also run-in takes place when engine starts to open up and become more smooth.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostMay be but my belief is Fully Synthethic oil has got no advantage for our 180cc bikes over Semi Synthetic ( except in rare case Pick uP & Proper shifting )...

If use SS or FS during this period, it wont help the engine to create the friction required for such run-in.
And using FS makes no sense, because it has a habit of disappearing in RTR(which is quite risky), due to which you need to keep regular check and top-up and its already expensive that SS and mineral oils, so why to waste money by using FS and do regular topups.FAQs-RTR owners

@Shaby
If it's the Motul 5100 ester 4T (semi-synthetic), no worries about level drops. Just check oil level at intervals as is with the case of mineral oils. And it's really good you got the W40 grade. Again, it's a jem of an oil. Not just saying that
Any one could try it post 5000-7000 Kms. Cost 495 INR.
Just avoid the Motul 300V Factory Line.The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Shabby bhai, I'm using the Motul SS 5100 15w50 for last 3000 kms. No issues till now except that the revability is bit on lower side. Thats it. Exceptional cooling. I have ridden it continuously for 100+ kms @75+ kmph. Had no issue.
Edit: Better don't try FS now. If you really want to change Motul [???] , then go for Valvoline 20w40 SS. You won't regret

F.S is worth the cash...The bike will be sluggish for the first 500-700km(may be the spark plug's condition was not good beforeOriginally posted by shahbaz63 View PostAgreed completely ... but I am saying practically I dont see anybody having issue coz of Fully Synthetic apart from non-appearance...
)..Then a good servicing(without oil change) makes the bike very smooth..My bike has covered 1.2k km running on FS,NOW I don't see any kind of sluggishness
..
Try filling some 750ml for the first 500-700km then fill the rest of the can..(this might reduce the sluggishness) & get the gasket/seals inspected thoroughly before filling or leakage might start..The FS will not affect/damage the clutch plate, in-fact gear shifts is spot-on when you shift to FS..
Any F.S is good, don't go for a grade more than 10W40..Or else splender will be faster

Which one is better among motul 5100 4T SS and Shell AX7 SS? Is motul worth the extra cash?Originally posted by Rtrlover83 View PostIf it's the Motul 5100 ester 4T (semi-synthetic), no worries about level drops... it's a jem of an oil. Not just saying that:
