I'm having the exact same problem as you are feeling. No idea what exactly is going wrong. Maybe TPS need to be cleaned or something. Anyway I'm going to give for servicing the bike this saturday & I will inform the SVC the same issue. Also another problem I'm facing is mileage drop. I normally maintain within 5k rpm in city riding & sometimes if roads are free it goes up till 6-6.5k & also i normally don't give sudden acceleration unless I need to smoke someone out. With all this all I get max is 40-41kmpl. Maybe carb cleaning might help. Fingers crossed lets wait & see.
^+1 to that bro. Infact before 180 came 160 had lot of experts in its ownership thread & they are the ones who gave some gyans to the 180 newbies. Eventually they all faded out & went for some other bikes, some banned, some stayed away from Xbhp for some or the other reason. Anyway now 160 thread is a dying one which might goto Archaelogical survey so that its great history is preserved for the future generations to come.Originally posted by hemnath View Post

Can you guide me to the query, I guess I missed it somehowOriginally posted by shahbaz63 View Post@PRateek- See Can you confirm to my querry about Reserve & Full petrol.. em confused
Few points
1) TPS issue
2) Adulterated Petrol
3) Carb issue (Although its only 1300kms on odo, it is possible only if 2nd point is there)
Just out of curiosity when was the servicing done?
Why so seriousOriginally posted by hemnath View PostI don't have any separate threads for RTR 160, I have been posting all my queries here for my RTR 160 and people are very grateful in helping me out. We are all of same breed be it 160 or 180.

Keeping Bike on Reserve "always", hurts Bike ?
as It takes petrol from bottom of tank (Impurities & all factors)

No it can't be like that. After all whether the knob is set in Main or Reserve the fuel pipe starts from bottom.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostKeeping Bike on Reserve "always", hurts Bike ?

Have anybody wondered why SVC guys always turns the petrol knob to reserve when they take from us for servicing even though there is enough petrol in the tank??

Sorry for back to back logs. I found this article just now regarding reserve tank.
How does the "reserve tank" work?
Tank on Empty: Don't use your reserve fuel, it protects your pump---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Example in OT way :
If you get salary and you have your reserve (savings), if you use your salary every time and move to the savings every month, would it not effect your monthly budget?
Never heard it will hurt , but turning the knob is not a big issueOriginally posted by shahbaz63 View PostKeeping Bike on Reserve "always", hurts Bike ?

Yes you are right bro. I have shared two links & in the first link there is diagram which gives you a clear idea how the architecture is. Also in the second link its about not running on reserve fuel for longer time. Maybe those two links will be helpful.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostNope Fuel line start from bottom

Yeah .. em Always right hehhehe jk....
And peatcock & petrol lock both works in same way ???

Second link is for FI bikes not for Carb versions, in FI bikes its necessary to maintain 3-4ltrs always if you burn this Fuel pump might need a replacement.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostI found this article just now regarding reserve tank.

yeah instead of a knob in traditional petcocks to turn it on/off you will be using a key to turn it on/off when its fitted with a lock.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostAnd peatcock & petrol lock both works in same way ???site:xbhp.com keyword -> Google this to dig up stuff in xbhp faster

Replace the Air Filter, and clean the carb. If the issue still persists, gonna check the TPS.Last edited by hemnath; 09-07-2012, 10:23 PM.

Soon you will be into RTR R&D Team in Light department leading them :P@shaby bro...heh heh.. :P R&D yea... by the way its up and running on my pegasus nowOriginally posted by prateek2210 View PostI doubt that battery could sustain that. And the fiitting would be another headache
only prob is that glass does heat up a bit( but i guess thats tough material right.)
@prateek bhai i guess that might become an issue... but still since its already up and running i am taking precautions...correct way of starting and all..
only switching on light if the engine is running
not using the light unnecessarily. since im getting enough lighting from this...its mostly on LOW mode.
anyone notice any change here??? :P

this might help
