    eh? I thought that 3m product was for cleaning the injectors.. in Fi bikes obviously..

    Engine flushing I've never heard of.. I have to search for the flush button now..

      • Did my second service a couple of days back.Two main complaints i had was vibrations and engine jerking at and around 3k rpm. They said they have tightened the bolts and stuff but still the vibrations are there very much, especially from the handle bars.
        And the engine jerking seemed to disappeared after i came out of the service but has come back again now. I dont think they will be able to rectify it. Any suggestions on this. My bike has done more than 2700km now.

          May be the rear disc pads are rubbing against the wall of the disc.Open it up and check it for play.Also check the chain's slackness. And about the weird noise it would only be clear if one hears it in real. Tighten all the bolts of the exhaust cover.And about the knock knock sound of the engine does it appear while riding or even when the bike is in neutral?

          Who are they to recommend you to for a new tyre. Replace stuffs only when you like it unless it's really serious or something related to engine.

          I think you need to open up the engine head and check for the leakage.Ask them to adjust the tappets and make sure you are present while they are carrying out the service.

          It's 10W40. Shift to Semi-Synthetic. Follow the footsteps-philosophy.make the bike used to stuffs gradually as it's a healthy practice!!

            i wanna know is there any way to connect the console light direct from the battery so that the console light doesnt goes off even if i turn the engine off....plz suggest me..and im also planning to attach short mirrors on the visor by removing the original ones so just wanna know will they look good????

              the knock knock sound of the engine does appear even in neutral/idling .

                As you have said about knocking sound

                Check your engines idle speed i.e..RPM at idle ...
                It should be more than 1 that is a line next to 1 (1.25)....

                If not sorted.
                There may be problem in your sparkplug or cord..

                But if you are out of luck (dont get me wrong.I dont wanna offend u) its oneway you should be worried about (BTW i dont really know what is oneway is. but it causes knocking sound according 2 SVC guy... ).
                There is a particular production batch having this problem...Dont worry faulty parts will be replaced for free..

                  The first point has nothing to do with the knocking, and knocking is never a prob that relates to a particular batch, it's a problem that depends on individual bike.

                    As i have mentioned . It was SVC guy who told me that there is a particular batch with faulty or inferior oneway (acc to SVC guy) and the symptoms are knocking sound,jammed kick start..and even sound while driving is quite irritating(sur sur sound).

                    So i thought it may possibly the reason for knocking sound..


                    And BTW Renny pls correct me if i m wrong .
                    Do anyone have explosion chart of RTR 180s engine ?

                    • I wanted to buy oil today ,the shopkeeper suggested me to go for Shell instead of Veedol , he really confused me and said Shell is the Best Brand for Oil. wht do u guys say??
                      Motul Has semi synthetic in the required rating???

                      • The bike is due 3rd service.Hopefully,it'd be done within few days.

                        Now,there's a heck of a lot of problems these days with my bike.
                        Here are the worsts:
                        -Engine along with the whole chassis dances like anything beyond 4k.Bloody irritating!
                        -PASS switch is gone.
                        -Indicator switch is kinda jammed.Sometimes they blink sometimes don't.On many occasions riders/drivers showed me their middle finger for that.Yesterday,I was nearly kicked away by the Indicab but thank lord it were because of my good karma of yesteryears that saved me!
                        -Rust Rust Rust..WTF!..Almost all parts are under this chemical effect of nature.The silencer,disc,Pegs and dampers are all long gone.Bike looks dull and old.
                        -Brakes squeal and feel spongy.
                        -Tappet Noise reminds me of jingle bells!
                        -There's some clogging in the carb or filter.It looks as if I am pulling the bike on my ownr.The throttle too feels sluggish.
                        -The bike fell off the side-stand just because of this faulty neutral.Dent on the flanks!

                        Above all this when I ask SVC people to not to put that shitty TRU4.A$$h()l#s say it'd void the warranty.A few more questions and same old answers..
                        *Foot pegs change-No,it'd void the warranty
                        *Switch to HID lamps-No,it'd again void the warranty.
                        *Change the stock tires-No,this sure will void the warranty.
                        *K&N filter:...Uhmmm,aahmmm ...ehhhh! I don't know what it is but going through your above questions I am sure it'd void the warranty!

                        Then why not you guys take the bike till it gets over with this Warranty period...

                        PS: Excuse the language please...
                        If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                          AFAIK Castrol Active is mineral. Castrol Power 1 is semi synth. Im using it now and i must say the engine has become more free revving and the gearbox has become much smoother.

                            Its really sad hearing this from fellow RTR owner..

                            According to your problems..
                            I think TVS oils are recommended till free services and they r just forcing you for their comission on sales..(u shouldnt mind TVS oil is OK and check that they take a seal packed bottle of oil coz SVC guys can even put inferior oil if you are not present at the time of service)
                            And about Hid you shouldnt go for it .(Coz its banned all over country.)
                            K&N filters should not be problem ..(It definately wont void warranty..BTW local mech hate filters coz according to dem it messes up ur engine ..I dont think so..And its banned too..)
                            But you can fix stock replacement filters they are legal , and silent...

                            Tyres can be changed .But it should be of same profile as stock ones ..(Rear 80/110 and front - I forgot)

                            And about footpegs.Change it to RTRs only.... maybe he thought that you wanted some R15ish pegs(Not offending any R15 owners)..

                              Thats right but svs guys dont service the bike in front of us, that the hole problem ........

                              we have to leav our bike there by 9 am and they will give us the bike back only by 4 pm ... god know what they do for 7-8hr ........
                              yes there is change of svc guys filling in the inforior oil or some times they dont change the oil .......
