Seeing "Chennai" (South India) as your location, my mind just struck to someting I read about an year ago. Polymer II coating is what I am talking about and I thought of getting it done on my bike but the author who himself claimed to be the distributor of the product said that they just have the product in Southern part of India. So, here I'm quoting the info provided by him after dugging out a his posts dated 13/04/2010

Difference between Polymer II & waxing
    Hi Guys....

Great to see you all comment about polymer and waxing. Let me just introduce myself for you all..My Name is Gibson located in USA and I own Polymer 2 Paint Sealant product.

Let me just give you a brief details about "Polymer II" and waxing.

POLYMER II, is a high quality paint sealant that offers deep gloss, long term protection for all types of paint surfaces. Gloss enhancing agents offers depth of shine and clarity like a wax, yet POLYMER II is not a wax and does not contain any wax. Waxes lay on the surface of the paint and provide limited protection against the elements,Ultra violet rays, salt air, insects, road film, harsh detergents, environmental pollution and corrosive acids contained in rain, morning dew and fog can break typical wax products much faster than a true polymer sealant. The problem with waxing is that it only offers temporary protection for your car. Paint has pores, just like your skin. Solar heat closes those pores and forces out the melted wax after a good baking under the scorching sun. These waxes become warm and sticky enough to trap dust, acids and chemicals on your car's paint, exactly what they are supposed to keep away! Sun heated wax is easily washed off your paint, leaving it vulnerable to damage again.

If you've ever used a non-stick frying pan, you already know how slippery PTFE is because that's what makes the pan so slick that eggs slide right off. Virtually nothing can stick to PTFE - not even water! . POLYMER II patented PTFE formulation gives your car the industry's only 1-2 year protection. The end result is a deep, wet shine that stays incredibly clean. When washing is needed, you can simply rinse dirt away with a hose!

POLYMER II is not a wax and does not contain any wax.

    Another post dated same saying...
    Hay Guys....

We will be launching Polymer II franchisee in a month. Please do contact at this # 9037856525. We will are launching new products as well.

    Regards

And, please share the info you get from him. Also, if you call him, ask him if they launched something like this for Delhi also

Yeah you can , but the shine will last only for 2 or 3 days and it s not usefull as it only makes the bike shinier, put waxpol caranuba wax i.e the scooter polish the wax stays longer and it will protect it from dust and water.
          Sure magga. Thanks.

Yes,you can get it done. Its called 'parking lights'.I had done this in my bike.Any mechanic can do that.Requires a switch and a couple of wires.I had inserted this switch in the console by drilling a hole in it.In the same way,as like that ABS on/off button. This way it looks neat and clean.Plus dont have to worry about water damaging the wires.

                    • Ok Guys, got My bike serviced today. Unfortunately had to go with the TVS oil as couldn't find even a single shop in the area where I live!!
But the positive point is that, bike just asks for more and more speed each time I ride Her and I certainly oblige!!
ALthough I have done My first servicing, My 1000km are not done yet. So should I still keep it under control at 50 or go for speed upto 70?

I just got a message in evening , sc was closed by that time , I will call up tomorrow, it also said they are giving away apache caps (dont know if its a freebie) nothing else in message.
@pranav: take it to sc da, get it checked for a/f ratio and get air filter cleaned , not sure if it will correct the issue.
@mirhawk: chill maadi take it there slowly now you shift at 4k rpm isnt it ? after ~1k shift at 5k and so on , dont ride constantly at 70s not good for engine with mineral oil.
