Cant say about the busted oil pump though.
        .
Its certain that the rings are damaged.... but I dont understand why it happens again and again... this is the second time... There has to be some reason other than the obvious...

Ok Guys got a call from TVS and had a meeting too with the Head guy at My local SVC. He said that the Kit is not a product from TVS. He said I can get it done from outside though.

With all my heart, hoping that TVS is seeing all this, and would roll out something soon for all of us enthusiasts
Well what You thought is true. Although He did say one might expect something from TVS, but He didn't get into much about what He was talking.

And Also, if anyone wants the info, I had also talked about the Security System installation on bike, which was incidentally My main point of meeting. He said that as long as I don't cut wires at any place, I won't Void warranty. He also asked Me to check if the security system is fitted properly, and to get it fitted in a water proof thing, so that if there is a wash, no short circuit may happen. He also told Me to check the ground wire is properly attached or not. Hope this info comes in handy to someone n future.

That's just good news. So we could really expect a kit from TVS.
                Waiting for that day

BTW, went to the SVC today for rectifying the front suspension trouble.
Don't know what they really did (said tightened the nuts/bolts on forks, replaced fork oil etc., )

Anyways much better performing front end now. Said cone set and ball racers are fine Charged Rs.88/- and that too for the wash service i've asked.
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

dude check weather the ruber drum of the rear whell is ok.becaouse the wear and tear or rear rubber drum can cause some jerk in ride same like the loose chain.
try to move the rear socket if its moveing then get the new rubber drum replace or else tight it

overheating may be....it can reduce the life og rings... k&n and free flow exhaust...if fuel ratio is not rich enough, engine can easily overheat!!

Insist on replacing it under warranty

Hardly 6k kms with the new cylinder kit, properly run-in, oil changes at regular intervals... I guess taking too much care of your bike is also not good...
Any ideas/suggestions on why this is recurring? The root cause must be something else right? Maybe a busted oil pump? But that was checked at every engine service, where the mech would loosen the nut of the oil pipe going into the cylinder and oil would always gush out... This is just so so sad...
Least expensive issue to cause oil entering the combustion chamber would be worn out valve oil-seal ,or a faulty valve guide.
                          Then rings might be gone.
If both the above 2 are ok ,then the cylinder has come to bore.

Which bore kit are you using? That is stock bore, or a big-bore? and were you using K&N with FFE? Taller gearing?
Life begins, once you hit the power band !!

i too read abt this news but the thing is i saw it today morning & 2 sales person confirmed that they are for sale thats the reason i got the price from them...

i asked them this is just for a 180 or 160 will also be modded like this...he said all RTR series can be prep with this is kit.....

u can get this thing even one part then all at a time (means u can chose which u req more).......

i see the quality is not up to the mark..........i took a TD of 160 hyper edge today & felt the gear where just like touch screen mobile than a old RTR any other person have same notion like me..........

but the tacho needle was pointing some where & that was a brand new bike hence if i rev the nuts in every gear it doesnt felt happy to be launched forward but the gear clutch was easier than the 1st gen RTR 160 & RTR 180....but the still lag in the quality dept that too in the flag ship product....

TVS need to rock more than wat they do now..............
