    I witnessed this when for the first time I did the speed check, went to SVC (Raj TVS) they changed the gasket and applied some kind of seal (don't know what that was)

        Okay. Thanks!

        @Lijo, Drifty, Chicane, Satyen "etc."

        Still want your comments about it. I noticed it while installing the sparkplug back after cranking the engine "plugless" (fuel cock and kill switch off) in order to let the accumulated unburnt feul get out coz I forgot to turn the feul cock OFF while parking and it was parked there only for 14-15 days.
        EDIT: ^^About this.

              Yes, RTR 180 has a catalytic converter.

              RTR Fi is the bike which doesnt have any catalytic converter.

                Did you even took the pain of reading the paragraph above the mere 2-3 words you quoted? We all know that in ordinary case, the seals would've been gone. But its not that simple. I doubt its the unburnt fuel came out while cranking the engine plugless. Though I am almost sure that its this only, but while you yourself are on the receiving side of damage, you feel that your knowledge/info(whatever you call it) is insufficient and take others' opinion too.

                    thanks Viscmad. About the riding gears, I think I will buy them in April as my board exams are approaching and I won't be riding the bike much.

                      I dont think cranking the engine 'plugless' has caused this. This is just a case of leaking from the ruptured seals which is somewhat normal which happens once the head is reopened and is not sealed properly.

                      • Hey guys.. this evening i was about to start my bike when i happened to see petrol leaking from the fuel drain pipe......
                        it just didnt stop and easily leaked around 100 ml of petrol roughly & this whole scary stuff went on for half an hour....
                        when the fuel knob was turned off the leak stopped & when turned on the petrol used to drip from it..amidst all this the bike refused to start with the "kick" or with the "self"....
                        after half an hour of futile attempts & prayers the bike slowly comes to life as if it had been laid off for a week & then the whole issue disappeared as if it never happened.....what could be the reason for all this?? need you people"s expert opinion..please do throw some light on it.

                        • guys i am facing too much vibrations in the aternoons and the tappet noise is really loud,bikes done 9500 kms and i have poured in castrol power one oil.i am tired of giving my bike to the svc for getting the tappets adjusted.its still very loud and even after 3 kms of riding the engine becomes really hot.and my bike vibrates like hell after 80 kms the vibrations are inbearble and even the tank also vibrates. i think my engine is faulty should i ask for a replacement???

                            Did you happen to change or experiment with the AirFuelRatio screw in the carburettor? Coz I believe such a thing would happen when air to fuel ratio goes down. Try screwing it in clockwise direction for half a thread if this thing happens again.

                              Well yes... When i had given the bike for its second servicing , i had told the mech to do something about the overheating, to which, he suggested carb tunning & the same was done in front of my eyes...it was 5 days ago...but the overheating starts after 2 to 3 kms

                                please explain what do you mean by Overheating of Engine..? Does you bike stalls due to this overheat and did you checked oil level..?
                                Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.
